Is this soil any good ?

Do not use MG anything(except their peat moss/perlite). Find a hydro store near you and get a 12 quart bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest for less than $10. It is all organic and way better than anything you will find at Home Depot or Walmart. If you do not have a hydro store near you, the mix by big girl is in right now is from all Home Depot products, and still less than $12. Get an 8qt. bag of perlite($4.50), a bag of peat moss($4.50), and a 40lb bag of cow manure/organic compost soil($1.50). Mix at a rate of 25/25/50 respectively.

My indica girl grew very noticably faster than one of the same strain and 100% soil. Now that she is in flowering she has grown over 8" in the past 8 days.

I use mg organic with mixed review the plants thrived while starting out then became deficient in many areas after the pellets were used up... MG. Moisture control is a very good soil and has alot of people very happy it has no supply of nutrients.. it is also the same price as the organic... the organic is ok for me but i had to play with the nutes alittle more after flowering..

Relax take a breath Lol. All you need is a little Fox Farm Happy Frog soil. You will need two bags for 6-7 plants in 4-5 gallon pots. That will give you plenty extra so you can start your seeds or clones in it also. If you have the money you can buy some perlite from home depot, lowes, or a grow store. Just make sure it doesn't have any time release nutes in it. I have grown with and with out the perlite with great sucess. Here is a link to my favorite grow store. Shipping will be reasonable around 15.00 usually.

I have also grown in the Mircale Grow you posted. I didn't have near the results and a few died off early. Also it tends to be a bug carrier. If thats all you have avaliable then put it in pots and flush it out often for a few days before planting.

So 2 of the 54lb bags of Happy Frog and im good to go for 6-7 5 gallon bags and still have some for clones?

You are right i just checked shipping rates. It is much higher than it was last month. I remember getting an email from them a few weeks ago about shipping going up. I use to order a few bags all the time 15.00 shipping. They have a store about 2.5 hrs away that I often go too.

I know it's high but this is your best bet for store bought dirt.
I go through a pallet a year of it. You can buy the cheaper stuff but when you start having problems with nut defiencies and bugs you will wish you were in a quality soil. Trust me you will have bug issues in the Mircale grow.

Yea 100.00 on soil will kill by total budget though..Im gonna prolly just do the mix of stuff from home depot Mr. Pacific posted. with the 40lb "sack o' crap" ( the cheap ass 40lb bag of garden soil ) and the other stuff from depot mixed in it at 25/25/50

I wish I could afford the happy frog but unfortunately I cant do it this time.Maybe next grow.

Thats cool I recommend you spread out the dirt and compost before mixing it and remove anything that doesn't look like it belongs (large pieces, trash, bug eggs or larva). Buy you some perlite to mix in as well. The big thing for you will be good nutes to carry you through the grow. You will be fine and good luck.

HAHA wow I was JUST thinking about that exact same thing. Was thinking about taking a huge piece of cardboard ( ghetto lol ) and making alot of 1/2 in holes in it and "sift" the soil and remove most of the wood and trash etc that I can before mixing it with the other stuff.. Ill prolly buy like 6 bags and sift em really well before adding the other stuff.. You must have read my mind lol


Im pretty sure there is a hydro store in the city about 30 minutes away.. Im going to see if I can find out some phone numbers and call and see if they have any happy frog in stock and if I can find a store within 30 min driving distance ill surely buy the happy frog.No question!! But if not I guess ill do with the other.
