Is this seedling OK?

Hi - These Diesel Jack feminised seeds went into rock riot (?) I think that's what it's called, 5 days ago. The odd one at the back on the right came up after 2 days, but it is purple at the base - not that odd - but has a white pathetic top, no green baby leaves like it's peers which came up 2 days later and are already growing well. Is that seedling OK? I have one more seed in the airing cupboard. My set up will be wilma big 4. Never seen this.

That seedling looks as though it doesn't know which way is UP.

Might be worthwhile trying to turn the cube over and see if the cotelydons come through the opposite end.

That's what I was worried about. Goes to show the fastest is not always the best. Thanks

I just tore down the root riot sponge until I found the seed and removed the shell w plastic clean (sugarcraft) tweezers. Have not touched w my hands. Now the little baby leaves are sticking out the correct way out. I am glad I asked and didn't just leave it. It's unusual for a seed to get that wrong I am used to germinating seeds for my allotment and I have never seen that happen before. Doh.

I've had it happen a couple of times in coco.

No big deal as long as you catch it in time.
