Is this really a thrip? Ugly ass looking bug

I'm currently treating a thrip problem. Their population exploded this summer due to the heat and my work schedule. I've wiped out many of them using monterey garden, sticky blue traps and mosquito dunks. I've had leaf damage, little caterpillars, and a few small flying nat looking things but I'm wining the war. The bug in question was in the hydro tray by the roots, it didn't appear to have any wings. I know that flyers are the last stage of a thrips life but this thing is much larger than the flyers I've seen recently.

Thanks

I saw a house centipede yesterday; it doesn't exist anymore. Keeping my eyes out for little ones...
