Is this plant shot, or does it still have a chance?

So I've been taking caring of my baby for 9 weeks now, and she has grown into a monster. It's been a lot of work and I was incredibly happy with how she was coming along. Unfortunately someone I am doing this with decided to hop in and do an insane pruning job on my plant. It is on day 19 flower today. They chopped off like all of the fan leaves for some reason. I uploaded a picture from Monday of what she looked like, and picture from yesterday when she was cut. I know people do some pretty intense pruning on plants, and it helps with buds. But does this plant look "over" pruned? Does she still have a fighting chance, or do you think bud production will be hindered?

She needed a haircut but your friend must of failed pruning 101. It is pruned to much but she'll live.

My thoughts exactly. I was gone for two days and came back to this, sucks. I guess I realize she'll live, my question is more or less will the bud production be diminished greatly now? She still has 6-7 weeks of flowering before flushing and I don't want to waste nutes/electricity just to get a qtr of shwag.

It may affect your yield but you should be OK. Like the other guy said go easy with the Nitrogen and make sure to raise the amount of Phosphorus and Potassium in Flower stage to help flower growth. I mix a tsp of molasses in a 500ml of water every 10 days in flower stage, its supposed to feed the bacteria in the soil and then the plant get its nutrients from the soil, I heard it bulks up the buds and makes them more sticky. You could give that a shot if you want.

Ok, first, this is going to sound critical but it's valid; If it's a plant grown WITH someone else, then it's their plant also so be careful in coming off possessive (my perception) Did you set a boundary and make it clear this person was not to touch the plant, if no, check communication.

Pertaining to the grow, if it's done stretching I would clip every single leaf that has a stem and I'm not kidding. If it's not done stretching let her finish stretching and then clip every leaf off of that. It will yield the same or some indiscernible amount different and you will increase the non-larf flower sites by allowing that light to actually reach the flower sites. So, if it were me growing with someone and they had started the defoliation process, I'd high-five them and finish it off.

Blunt truth - yes your friend fucked up, id be pissed friend or not.

You had a great looking plant and now it looks like a bamboo grove.

Im shocked your so placid, a good attribute to have with this hobby.

:-)

Cut all of the fan leaves with stems if it's done stretching, then treat it as you would throughout flower.

In a week's time or two that thing will have reproduced so many leaves to the untrained eye they'd never know it was stripped.

The only leaves you should ever remove are dead leaves. The leaves provide the energy that the plant needs to produce bud. They also provide a defence against problems by providing a warning and a reserve.
