If you do not have a way to adjust the pH of the water then use household items vinegar for pH down and baking soda for pH up.

What's the problem with that tip?? Someone might not know they have items in their kitchens that work..
What grower doesn't own ph up/down?

Both there alternatives actually cause harm to a soil medium. Baking soda. Sodium bicarbonate - not sure if any plant on the face of earth likes sodium in any form.

and vinegar, can react with the minerals in soil and lock out key nutrients.

both Are a no no

People have been using vinegar for years as pH down. Apple cider vinegar, distilled, white doesn't matter. The few drops it take does not hurt the soil.

I said in a pinch. If you have no other way to lower pH then a few drops of vinegar will do the job. Take it easy man, it's just basic horticulture.
