Is this Nute Burn or actual burn? Aeroponics

Hey guys i'm in the beginning of my first auto flower aeroponic grow,

On my large plant (only on that leaf) there is a couple spots that almost look burnt or something? see picture
On my sprout that is growing, its hard to see in the picture but there is a purple tinge in the center of the plant, would that be nute burn? Mold? or just genetics?

I wasn't counting on my smaller sprout to take off as it took 8 days so now I know for a fact i'm going to have two plants. (THIS IS MY FIRST GROW I'm Looking for constructive criticism not just "pfft your a moron".

My res is a tuppeware that only hold about 2.5-3 gallons of water and is maybe a foot in height (my larger plants roots are mega long and plentiful). Is this res size OK for two AUTOFLOWER plants? (I didn't plan on the 2nd one growing so I put off getting a different res til now).

Should I just get two paint buckets with covers that hold like 3-5 gallons or something and put one plant in each? or shouldI just get one of those green tuppeware tubs and use it for both plants?

yes I know its a fire hazard lol Ive already wrapped all outlets with elec tape and never leave it alone (someones always here) I'm just trying to weed out all beginner problems I may have on this first grow so I can buy a tent or build a better box with better materials and HPS and MH light setup. Every time I have a problem or question I put it on here so I don't keep making the same mistake or carry over doing things the wrong way into my next grow. Thanks so much guys!

It's no kind of burn. Nutrient burn always begins at the leaf tips and progresses in if left unchecked. The small spot on your leaf could be any number of things at this point. You could have spilled a drop of nute water on the leaf or the beginnings of a cal/mag def. If you are using RO water and 1/4 strength nutrients it's probably the beginning of a cal/mag def.

Bucee, I concur and will add to it. Cal/Mag def that's leading to a lockout.
Add a Cal/Mag supplement at full dose as the manufacturer says!
Your problem will show correction in 5-7 days in the new growth being green and healthy.....The old growth will not "repair"!

Im a new grower guys so this lingo is a bit much. I've done days and days of research but i haven't heard of this yet, are you saying Calcium/Magnesium deficiency, If so how do I fix it? Cal/Mag Supplement, where do I get that what even is it? What is RO water? The PH level of my water is 5.8

Cal/Mag is Calcium Magnesium as you said Tyran.
It is a liquid supplement many companies sell it. Best bet is a local hydro shop or online.
Many people use Botanicaire's CalMag Plus.
And RO water is water filtered through a reverse osmosis machine which purifies your water.

What is the ppm of your water? Do you have a ppm meter?

"sigh" ,,,, Yes you have a serious Cal/Mag deficiency! You need both!

If you have a local hydroponics/grow supply store. You will find many Calcium/Magnesium supplements there. If no store is available to you for that.....try this,
http://4hydroponics.com/calimagic
THIS is the one I say to use! I like the added iron in it!

If you can't use that site,,,,,Google CALiMAGic and buy it from somewhere!

How about you invest in this book.

Trust me here as this will be priceless for you now and down the road!

Don't worry about RO right now...you'll find out what that is when you read the book! and by ALL means,,,READ THE BOOK!!!

Ohhhhhhhhh I see what you guys are talking about, I'm Underfeeding them! I'm using Fox Farm Grow Big for this phase and I was using a 1/4 dose or less so i didn't hurt my small plant and it ended up not being enough for the larger one!

I live way up north east in the woods with an artisian well, Im pretty sure poland springs actualls drills for water around my area so the water is super clean. so you think if my PH is 5.8 and i give it another feeding things will be straight? I never heard of having to get cal/mag supplements after all my reading, argh I wish I knew this when I ordered everything lol legit not a hydro store even in NH I don't think lmao, place sucks.

Really only a single spot or two. Looks more like some sort of physical damage. I wouldnt say you have any sort of serious problem. Your well probably supplies all the cal and mag your plants need. Along with a whole host of other trace minerals.

Ok pH your solution to 6.5 and add that Cal/Mag.....The lack of the Cal/Mag is leading you to a lockout in combination to possible low pH.
And yeah, the plant in pic 2 is ready for full strength nutes! Not the babies quite yet - soon.

dahhh, what a moron. I took a Xanax and forgot that when I tried removing a CFL light I accidentally dropped it on the leaf and it was relatively hot, I was wondering why that was the only spots it was damaged lol thanks so much for input guys! Here is a photo of my res Ph Level and the Ph of my water STRAIGHT for the faucet.

The tap water (labeled) is much more of a peach color than the stick from the res (more orange). The res stick if I had a guess would be at about 6.0 (and to think I only bought Ph Down......)

So what lockout is caused by the lack of calcium or magnesium? Also 6.5 is too high for hydro. He needs to be in the 5.8-6.2 range.

Your plants look green and happy. I would keep doing things just the way you are. I would though move the air pump. Keeping it under the light only helps to add heat to the res.

great feedback, thank you guys, lol I had the pump on the bottom of the box behind the res, it vibrates and the mylar goes wild while i sleep, i'll have to secure it somehow!
