Is this grow box going to yield anything significant??

Hi, im new here and my friends and i are planning on growing in our house next year at college. We were looking around for various grow boxes considering we dont really plan on creating a gigantic grow-op. We were looking at this hydroponic setup and wanted to know if having a box of only 24 inches in height would be enough to get us a couple of ounces if we had 3-4 plants. Here is the box:

Maybe look into building your own around that size with one plant and a few cfls to keep initial price down. One medium plant under a scrog screen might be the way to go for you guys
 
is it really that hard to build one say, 3-4 feet tall so i could hold more plants? and how much would it cost me? cause im alright at building stuff i just really dont wanna screw anything major up.
 
could i maybe go about doing low stress training with two plants in this small space? the only issue would be how would i do LST in a hydro setup?
 
Don't buy that thing on ebay, it looks total shit

the hydro system is a few plastic pots sitting in a large plastic sandwich box, did he cut the holes with a bread knife too ?
not even sure what type of bulbs they are
it looks very home made , you could get all the parts from walmart copy it and save $100 if you built it yourself

ya dont buy that. Try to make one yourself. I have been making grow boxes for 5 years now. building a new one in the next month. It will be my finest work yet. Point is build your own and have fun be creative and do some reading here on RIU.

That thing on ebay is homemade and looks cheap as fawk.
 
You should make your own stealth grow box.. I used an old subwoofer box . It was a bandpass box for two 15"s and it already had 4 vent ports.. I just took a hammer and knocked the two pieces of wood that hold the subwoofer inside. and I put hindges on the clear plexi glass cover you see on the front of the box. I just stood the box up and put 24" single tube fluoros in each corner and grew two plants until harvest. I also made light traps for the vent ports and one computer fan on each port to pull hot air out of the box. here is a similar pic 416G3ihC+kL.jpg or you could get a 12" dual bandpass from ebay .. i checked and they dont sell the dual 15"s anymore
 
might be an idea just to look for a small tent mate, easy to put up and down in minutes and will probably cost about the same as the materials needed to build a decent box, I have a small one I bought for clones 2wx2dx4h and cost about the same as a sheet of sterling and the 2x2 needed to fix it together, only difference is it's probably a 20th of the weight and can be taken down in seconds.
I know it's what you were asking for but tents come in all different sizes now and can be picked up dirt cheap, may be worth a look mate
