Is this from overwatering

It's only on the first set of serrated leaves. Its neighbor shows no sign of damage. Bag seed, 9 days old, in a peat pot with the dreaded Miracle Gro, under daylight CFL.

Thanks. I didn't see what your final solution was, or if you just ignored it and it got better. I plan to get a pH meter tomorrow. But I don't think my pH is too whacked based on my last grow, which was my first. This plant and its neighbor were definitely in a too humid environment when they first sprouted.

Don't know for sure. My suspicion is it was the nutes in the Sta-Green soil I started with. Of my three plants the only one that did not show that burn damage was the one that was never in the Sta-Green. Hmmmm.

I never really ignored it, per se. But I was wary of causing three or four problems by trying to fix one problem. For the most part the new growth was healthy and vigorous so I mostly stopped worrying about it and just let them continue to grow. It's seems to have worked out fine.
