Is this enough light?

14,000 lumens total

36 x 20 grow area
CFLs are 4 inches from top of plants

Does anyone know the rate at which lumens fall per inch?

No. 5000 lumen per sq ft which yours is 2745 lumens per sq ft double it or lessen you grow area.
It will grow a bunch of popcorn and airy bud.

You can veg under it but it also looks the wrong spectrum too. It looks like warm white instead of cool white which is what veg wants. Don't break that hps out until flip I thought you were going to use this the entire grow.

No I started with Hps 400 w
Tried to cool the room down by using only CFLs
It has a modified spectrum which puts out the blue I need

yeah hps can be difficult to manage the heat without proper cooling. I would only start it with Mh it will make for better veg and less heat don't worry if you have only hps ballast the mh will work with it just the bulb will lose around 10% life.

Ok so is this enough light

1ft x 1ft grow area
Hps 400w 55,000 Hps modified spectrum (puts out a little more blue and violet)
@ 36 inches
2 week old seedlings

Next to the 1 x 1 I have a 13" x 10"
They are same age
At least 4,200 lumens from CFLs and some spill off from Hps ( I estimate at least 8,000 lumens)

I think yes but I would like some confirmation.

It appears so, also that hps is't going to veg as well as a Mh even with it being an improved spectrum but I heard of people doing it with those. It will though make for better resin output because of the violet. Try this out close your door while your in the closet with all the lights/tv on in the room and see if there is any light leakage, If so seal the door off better. That will help avoid hermies.

No it will never be like mh. Thanks for the advice. When I close the door it's sealed. It has an inner lip for the door to rest on. When I close the door it drags across the carpet.
