Just make sure the dutch master can be used with peroxide as otherwise your just wasting money as the peroxide will kill all bennies but not sure exactly what the dutch master stuff is?Doing 3 water changes today. 1st and 2nd are 30L of water with 10ml of 5% H2O2 for 3 hours each. 3rd is 20L of slightly weaker nutes with H2O2 and the Dutch Zone. Hopefully this cleans some of the rot out if there is rot. I'll put up some more pics in a couple of days.
Also ordered some Great White as it seems to be the only bennies I can get.
Still thinking of investing in a 20L/min air pump but undecided atm.
I did not dissolve the greatwhite in warm water before but i'll do that next time. I did add it to water and kind of stirred it before adding it to my res, it looked dissolved but I don't think it was. There seems to be signs of improvement but it's real hard to tell as what your using makes the res so dark that now the roots look black! This is why I like my nutes as my res is crystal clear so I know if my roots arent white I have an issue.
Did you desolve the great white in a little warm water before adding it to the res? Maybe it will get rid of the granules but never used it so not sure!
Regarding the PH rising, in my system i need to mix my nutes up at 0.6 lower then my target because as soon as the mix becomes oxygenated from the airstones this is how much it makes it rise with a few hours but then it stabilise's after that initial rise.
Yeah bro the roots are certainly better! I would personally carry on, the leaves curling up like that is still from the rot but because you topped the plant when it wasnt healthy you have slowed down the new growth, I reckon you will start getting some normal looking leaves soon and it looks like there is much more water agitation with the new pump.Update:
The plant seemed to be doing better for a couple of days after adding the greatwhite to the res last water change, or it could have been because I upgraded my air pump to a 20L/h pump. Lots of new root growth and its gotten a little bigger.
However, I made the heisenberg tea (with mycoapply and greatwhite (which I later learned seem to be the exact same thing lol) and earth worm castings), let it bubble for 48 hours and added about 1.5L to the res through the net pot. I'm not sure if this helped or made it worse because now, about 2 days after the leaves have started to curl in on themselves.
Pics of leaves and roots:
Perhaps the leaves are curling like that because of another issue? Maybe I was blowing too much air at the plant? Maybe its because the dripper got clogged and it wasn't getting enough water? Not sure whats going on, it just seems to be 1 step forward, 2 steps backwards with this grow
Anyway, hopefully it will get better in the next couple days. I'll try the heisenberg tea again next water change and hope for the best. Or should I just chuck the plant, sterilize the whole system and start again?
Cheers mate, its looking much better so thanks again for your help!Nice to start seeing some green on the plant! Great perseverance man, I would get rid of those battered leaves now as there not doing anything whatsoever!
I think the rust spots and the drooping is still from the rot as when those leaves were initially developing it was when you still had it, it will take a couple sets to sort itself out.
1.9ECCheers mate, its looking much better so thanks again for your help!
Just did a water change (used 1/2 additives), set EC to 1.9 and added some Mammoth P this time as well as Great White. I noticed when I did the water change this time there was a lot less brown sludge covering everything so I think the heisenberg tea has done its job.
I think adding the bigger air pump has also helped with root growth a lot too.
I think I'll wait till the end of the week, top it once more then run it on veg for 1 more week before switching to flower. I'll keep posting updates but they may be less regular.
