I am still learning. But would this be considered bud rot. Or did the leaves just die. Its just the top part underneath looks fine. I am new to this and just want some guidance. Thank you.

Pics not the best but looks to be something off, Did you notice that sugar leaves on that bud dying off an if you pull on them they come right out without pulling

That’s generally a sign of bud rot, check them well and get rid of any mold as it can spread quickly. Sometimes it’s hard to see if inside the bud itself. best of luck, it’s very discouraging but keep with it, we’ve all had it happen.

The rest of it below looked ok. should I cut the whole thing or just trim it and a bit below? the rest of the plant looks good. I don't wanna have to cut the whole plant.

Just take that top be careful doing it turn off fans because those spores love to get airborne If it was me I would get some 3% peroxide spray that top down good before messing with it.

A color difference like that is a pretty good indicator of bud rot, unfortunately. Cut the whole bud off carefully (put a bag around it, cinch it tight, clip the stalk) and check the rest of the plant. Sometimes you can catch it early enough and be ok.

I actually used latex gloves then pulled them over it. Hopefully that worked. The rest of plant looks good so far. This is what it lookes like after the cut.

Male/herm parts that can produce pollen and pollinate your buds. They’ll look like little yellow things coming out from the nud, like 1-3 mm in length, looking like a banana. Usually a sign of stress or unstable genes

I am gonna go check. I can't tell how many more weeks I have before I can harvest it. I only have one plant outside. Trial by error I guess. Dam I am salty now lol. And thank you for taking the time to help me.

I couldn't find any bananas but I did see a few of these. Are these sacs?

Don’t get discouraged. Not every grow goes perfect. Every cycle, you’ll learn and improve. Just try to keep this one as happy as you can and finish her out.

Those are just bracts, they’re fine.

Here, check out this link, they look like bananas.

My soil has been getting dried out daily with all this 90 degree heat. I don't wanna water daily but also don't want it to die.
It’s ok to water daily when they need it, I’ve seen plants outside need watering 3 times a day. If you can see they are dry and/or feel the weight of the pot, by all means give them water.

Rot is one of those things that when you squeeze the bud and it feels soft, you know you have it.

My policy is when in doubt, cut it out.

Usually when a bud looks off like it's brownish or one sugar leaf is brown, I'll press in and if it's mushy/soft, it's rot.

Cut it out as fast as you find it and don't look back.
