is this a normal female plant?

i am on my first grow. i am starting out with some autoflowering plants - fast bud and speed devil 2. they have started to flower, but i have noticed some seemingly unusual parts to it. they look almost look like male flowers, but they have hairs coming out from them. i have other females in the are and do not want to pollinate them.

any thoughts on the issue? they have already developed some nice buds, so i hope this is normal.

Yeah it is fine bro! Like THCBD said you will see polen bananas later in flower if it hermie's on you. If you don't catch it your first time you will NEVER forget what those fucking things look like! Had it happen to me on my first grow and I can spot them a mile away now!

thanks guys.

i was mostly wondering because somebody wrote:
look for red hairs recessing into they're calyxes. that's a sign of pollination. if you notice budsites that have red hairs early in flower, where no other hair is red, and you see the plant has still a while to go, you might have a hermie......
the hairs in the pics are red, but all the other ones are white. could my plant have been somehow pollinated? or is the consensus a normal female plant?

anybody have any input? i am growing them in a tent with 5 other photoperiod plants, that are less than a week into 12/12 cycle. so if they were pollinated, it must have been a hermie from one of these plants. but i see no signs.

i am tempted to just pull them now. the risk seems too great.

i wrote that. and that plant's young still.... it looks like a female...

hairs can get red if something too strong touches them... you might have had something on your finger, then touched one of them or something of the sort.... but don't worry... it looks female.

Seems normal, although I see why you are wondering. The only way to know for sure is wait and see if a seed actually forms there. Even then, until you find a male flower you don't really know which plant to remove, because any of them can throw off a male flower.

When i cut one of these off, there is this tiny green ball. does this mean that is a seed?

i still can't find any damn male flowers though. if it is pollinated, i have no idea what pollinated it.

A 2 week old seed is much more developed.
They are just unfertilised "seeds" that you will find in every flower, they dry up to be insignificant specks buried within the frosty calyx.
Those flowers that you photographed are just the plants pre-flowers, their stigmas (hairs) will brown off and the calyx will swell but there are no seeds, and they are not any indication of pollen being released anywhere.
They just stand out becaule they appear singly or in pairs and are seperate from the actual buds that you will eventually smoke.

Don't worry so much if it's pollinated doesn't mean all of them are and even if they do end up with seeds you can save them and use them to grow a new crop. And you still get to smoke some decent bud. You're not going to yield much but still decent bud.

i think this must have been what it was. i looked very carefully at both plants to find any male parts that would have been able to pollinate them - and i found nothing. but just to be safe, i cut them down today. i didn't want to risk contaminating the other plants in my tent (and i needed the space).

but thanks everybody for the insight. peace
