Is this a nanner?

Yeah, it does make me wonder why folks will spend a fortune on lights and gear yet say they are just seeds. The genetic starting material of the actual plant they want to grow they figure is not worth a few bucks but will spend top dollar on things to grow with. Oh well, to each their own I guess. The world is full of people I don't understand.
Lol that’s kinda me right now, I lost my 70 or so gelato seeds during a move, so right now I’m growing these 3 bag seeds for now til I get more seeds from a couple friends.

In 30+ years of growing cannabis, there is one thing I have found to be a very solid rule, genetics is the single biggest factor in determining quality and yield. No way around it. No matter how good a grower you may be you can't grow an apple tree using a pear seed. It just won't happen. You can't grow great weed with bad genetics. Now a shitty grower can grow shit weed with great genetics, that is possible. lol

Lol, cant argue with that. It is so sad to see what some folk can do to a plant that in its core just wants to grow. They get out their cases of nutes and start mixing with their GH advanced nute mixing rig. On sale for only $499.99. Order now and receive your free Crop King Auto seeds.

You remember those dungeons and dragons type video games from the 80's? You would fight some sorta beast and then get to open a treasure chest. Think of that chest as your seed. The deeper you went and the bigger the monsters the better the treasure within that chest. Imagine cheap / bag seeds as the first level stuff, fight some harpy or an orc and get a cheap silver treasure, maybe a rusty sword... but those really good beans, the ones you get from the depths of the minotaurs lair after battling a dragon or some shit, those are the beans that can blow your mind, big ass chest of diamonds and the sword of a thousand truths.

Now all I want to do is go out to my garage and fire this up.

Even if it is, how do you go from a pound to a couple ounces? I don't know how many plants you have but if you were going to get a pound a few nanners isn't going to reduce your yield by 14 ounces unless you do something foolish and start yanking plants. Pluck the nanners and keep growing. The worst that can happen is you'll get a few seeds. The horror.
In this case we did yank the first Hermie which was the biggest plant. I’m assuming we would yank this too. Of the remaining 3 one is that maybe Hermie another is basically a seed bag, and the third seems unscathed.

This is what I had at about 30 days from light switch. I may have been optimistic, but they were swelling quickly.

I have a friend who collects beans like they are baseball cards. Expensive beans, no cheap ones. Some are specials direct from breeders, some are rare and hard to find stuff. He has boxes and boxes of packs. It's crazy. and he just keeps adding more packs, he says it's like an addiction. I keep telling him he needs to grow them fuckers! lol It would take a massive grow to even dent his collection and do it justice. Like dude, how are you ever going to grow all those beans? lol Good problem to have I guess. Probably has half a million $ in seeds.

Lol, that sounds like a great issue to have. That's how I ended up with 13 arcade games and a pinball. Now I grow and have around 40 or 50 seeds and counting. Sadly I have a 4 plant limit but still cant help searching out more seeds. Just dropped 2 Shiva Skunk and 2 Maui Waui, hoping for good things.

For someone who claims to know so much I wouldn't expect bag seed would be the seed of choice.

As others said, seeds are dirt cheap and bag seed is never an option for a serious grower.

I personally associate bag seed grows with newbies with inadequate setup/environment.

I'd be interested in your kit looking at the picture you have posted.

As @Renfro said, genetics are the be all and end all BUT all seeds with good genetics are not always expensive and I do find alot of seeds being ridiculously overpriced due to hyped up new genetics.

Seedstockers is my go to seed-bank for cheap quality seeds but each to their own. No need to always rub people up the wrong way.

Very true, to use my game analogy from earlier, every once in a while you find a random generated chest of gold and a sweet cross bow on a lower level and all you had to kill was a lame succubus lol...

If I am setting up a grow and want to select mother plants I try to get as many possible candidates from the get go. I know I will find more trash than treasure so to speak. Even some good plants might have something about them that makes them less suited to your growing style. It can take a lot of candidates to find a few that check all the boxes. Even then it may only be one or two of the seeds from that pack that were winners. So basically what I am saying is don't use double aught buck when shot gunning for mothers, use the finer bird shot. It's like playing the lottery by buying more tickets.
