Is this a male or female? Or too early?

memorize what your plant looks like now and when something extra pops up in between the stipule and the new shoot at the node, that is when you'll be able to tell.

I am new to germinating and growing from seed but I am at about the same place- mine a little bit bigger, but from the pistols I would also suggest female.

Might be able to take a pic of mine if that would help...

It takes around 4 weeks in vegetative stage before preflowers show. If you started from seed it will take longer because you have to get through the seedling stage before you actually enter vegetative stage. So I stand by what I said earlier, too soon to tell. I know it's hard to be patient!:weed: They will be really tiny when they first appear, you'll need some kind of magnifier to see them well.

Haha, I was just looking for some pic uploads as well. Ya, i was mistaken. Similiar to you, Maximum, I have the small growth off the main stem but

no pistils. Basically keep looking around the area between main stem and growth for white hairs. Good luck!

Those just look like new growth shoots to me. I think 2 weeks is too early to determine sex. Youll know soon enough though.

too early to tell. i cant tell if its just new leaf growth or an actual pistol forming. if hairs come out of it than it's female. otherwise i coundnt say for sure. it should take about 2-4 weeks after going on 12/12 light cycle.

my la confidential under a 400w hps took only 13 days to show once on 12/12. but im sure time depends on strain and other environmental variables. i have a grow journal at http://skiweeds.angelfire.com

SOME plants will pre sex, in other words show signs of sexing in their veg state, but GENERALLY, you can tell about the first week, some beginners cant tell til its about 2-3 weeks because they need it absolutely defined to see the difference, once experienced you can tell sooner..

Hello all. Let me preface this post by saying I'm a "nube" to growing, started indoor grow about 6 mos. ago using LED grow panels. I have noted that the plants that turned out to be female, most had 3 lobed leaves on each branch for the first 4-7 branches, then went to the typical(?) 5 lobed leaves. While some of the plants that started with 5 lobed leaves did become female, most were male. All my seed stock is from cleaning "commercial" weed.
