It is obvious too me that you need to do some reading and learning so you don't need to ask questions like this. But, that being said that is another set of leaves coming in. This plant is nowhere near showing signs of sex...your buddy is VERY misinformed.

I'm sorry you got confused. I didn't think anyone would on account of how short and straightforward my post was. I stated I DID think this was too early implying I HAD done research. I just asked in the off chance he wasn't full of shit. Reading comprehension is important my friend, don't just repeat the words in your head when you read them, you have to try and understand what they mean. Good luck!
P.s. My GF struggles with this and needed to improve it to try and get into nursing so she bought an excercise booklet. Private message me if you need and I can scan/email you a bunch of the excercises bro!

There is no need to be a condescending jerk. He was just trying to be helpful - after all the title of your thread is "Is This a Girl ?" If your intelligence level is as high as you perceive it to be then you wouldn't have even asked the question. With your attitude I doubt you'll get much help.

WOW, pretty arrogant aren't we? If you need help with such a BASIC question, you apparently did not comprehend what you read when you supposedly studied and researched. If you don't care for answers when provided then don't ask such raw amateur questions. I hope your grow goes well...my intention was to try and answer your question. Sorry if you were offended.

Since you THOUGHT it was too early (which if you knew anything about growing cannabis the question was moot) or if there was an OFF CHANCE your buddy was right (which again if you KNEW by reading and learning there was not even an off chance or a slightly possible chance of correctly sexing at this stage), the 100's of hours you spent researching did not pay off.

P.P.S..That being said, if I saw your plant on fire on the side of the road, I would not stop and piss on it.

First of all, at no point did I make any claims about my intelligence. If you perceived it to be high then I assume its a rare moment of lucidity for you. Now you guys assert that had I been doing research I would know not to ask this question, yet when was the last time you did research from the perspective of someone who has never grown before? There are droves of seemingly inconsistent information and dubious claims.The most readily available source of info for me are internet forum posts but there is no regulatory body, no guarantees of anyone's knowledge on the subject (such as a degree) and while these forums are peer reviewed, the peers in question have no recognized qualifications either. You might be an expert capable of growing 1.5 g per watt consistently, but the only guarantee of that would be your word and as such it is in my best interest to not take every forum post on the internet as genuine or correct. This leads to me to try and get clarification due to inconsistent opinions, YOU were the one who was condescending and presumptuous. Some people claim they can sex by smell, look of seed, look of seedling/speed of seedling and some people claim all of these are bullshit and not to be trusted and you can only tell by flowering a clipping. Now If I was doing research say for microbial ecology and I found two journal articles that have inconsistent claims or I needed further clarification on a concept and I asked my prof for help, do you think he would say DERRPP YOU DIDNT RESEARH DERRRRP?. No, that response is condescending, lazy, unhelpful and incorrect. In fact, asking questions and clarifications to sources more knowledgeable then myself is a part of my research, therefore you saying I need to do research doesn't make sense (thats what im doing genius). This question clearly arose because I HAD been doing research, and my immediate thoughts were he was full of shit. However, I know from studying biology that there can be massive genetic variation among organisms of the same species, especially one like cannabis which is bred through artificial selection to alter any number of traits in myriad breeding programs globally. The concept of a juvenile organism erecting pre-sexual structures is not exactly an unbelievable phenom, for example we have testicles long before they are acted upon by hormones at puberty to begin spermatogenesis. For me, a total first timer, to possess the attitude that I KNOW everything and am ABOVE asking questions, no matter how trivial they may seem to an experienced grower, is the very definition of arrogance. In biology they stay away from words like LAW because of this massive variation, physics are full of laws, biology cannot use those terms. To quote Jurassic park "life always find a way". There are always exceptions to biological norms, as soon as you say ALL do this EVERYTIME, you meet the exception that doesn't. For example, photosynthesis is something all plants do and then we discovered parasitic plants that have life cycles independent of the sun.
