Is this a bad time to start growing if your in florida?

Yeah it's too late to start any semi-serious outdoor grow. You could still start but plants will be small and probably not worth the investment, work and risk at this point.

On the other hand - still plenty of time for an auto-flowering strain if you wanted to try them.

Ya your leaving out some pretty useful info, but from what i know your getting about 13hours daylight and 11 hours darkness so i would say you still have a chance, i would recommend starting them inside with some flourecents or hps see if you can get them as big as possible by the end of september which is around when your going to be getting 12 or more hours of darkness, you still got a shot but its very, very close

Like SableZen says an auto flowering strain would be something to look into, try to find some seeds with a short flowering time if you know the strain your growing your much better off.....

It's a great time to go for it. The RH varies between 70% to 99% in Fl. during the summer. Mold can be a real pain in the arse. If you plant now you will be in veg state through the last of the wet season. Fl. starts drying out in October, and you will be flowering when mold won't be a concern.

I've already identified all the males, killed them, and the females are all flowering already. Are other people in Florida not flowering yet? I must be missing something. lol

thanks everyonee i really appreciate the advice. im in tampa bay like central florida. so far what im trying to do is basicly experiment with shwaggy seeds so when growing time does come ill have a basic knowledge on growing cannibus. and actually grow good piff.

Go for it!! You can get them through frosts with no worries. Weed stops growing below 50F degrees. It goes into a stasis, and restarts when it gets above 50. So as long as you are getting 5 hours of 50.... your plants are growing fine. Less than that and she starts to slow down....but still grows.
