Is this a 200 Amp panel

No empty slots, looks like it won't matter if your using it to run new lines to your grow.

Can you post a better picture of that double pole breaker feeding the panel. Can't read the numbers on it.

not necessarily. IF the main amperage is large enough, he can replace those singlepole breakers with space savers;-)

...I know, but it's a guy that is poking around in a box that can't tell if it's 200 or not. Last thing we need is another grower starting a fire for wiring a 20A wrong.

Most house meters are rated at 200amps continuous, that panel looks like an expansion panel to the main. What is the marking on the double pole breaker, I cant make it out? Is that panel right off the meter?

Ok just because you have 10 20amp breakers doesnt mean your panel is rated for 200 amps. Panels are assumed that every thing is not going to be on at the same time. Most ranges are 50amps dryers 20 hotwater heaters 40 and 2 seperate ac breakers which can range from 20-50 depending what your heat is rated at. Best way to tell is by the wiring if there is no markings.

Hopefully it is the main. The grounds and neutrals are tied together. Subpanels, that is a bigtime no-no;-)

Just because he has 10 20 amp breakers DOES NOT MEAN it's a 200amp service box!!!

That is a 100amp old style single breaker line service box.....That is so old school it doesn't even have a built in main!
It is not rated for 200amps!!!!

Most 200 amp service box's are over 24 breaker spaces.....The free ones from your power company are 30 space minimum...
You can have all spaces loaded with 20amp breakers! You should damn well be aware of your total amp draw at full use draw!!!

Its a double pole breaker. 1 throw for 2 100A breakers. Its set up for 200A so I'm not sure why it would be set up like that for 100A service if that were the case?

Iegal? Safe, I understand, but judgement on legalities is stretching it. Where abouts it it? Building codes change, state to state, to country...
