Is There Such Thing as Too Much Exhaust? 400cfm for 5x5x7 Tent Too Much?

so i used to have a bigger setup where my 400cfm fan cooled my lights and two tents...now i have a LED tent for this go around. tent is 5x5x7 = 175 cubic feet and the fan is 400 cfm, i think the fan might have adjustable settings but before i mess with that i want some input before i do that....and if ic ant do that what do i do?

is there usch thing as too much fresh air or air circulation? there is definitely some real negative pressure in there as the walls are sucked in! i got a 6in 400cfm pulling air out and 2 6in passive intake holes. PLEASE HELP!

I'm going to go with 'no' on that question of yours.

The more exhaust you have.. the better off you'll be. But again, that's just my opinion.

I've noticed that if the fan is to high the carbon filter has a hard time keeping up and you get smell in the area it is exhausted to

no carbon filter here, believe it or not with LEDs less transpiration less smell...

is the air circulation or too much negative pressure a bad thing? like i said the walls are sucked in tight...400cfm is blasting when 175 is recommended...

when do i need a speed controller? if there is no such thins as too much fresh air or neg pressure than why slow it down?

my room is 6x4x8..i use a 500cfm fan..works great for me!good luck!

i wouldnt worry bout taking to much air out as long as the heat anit dropping and plants are looking good. You can do like above and get fan speed controller

im just debating using my big ass 400cfm which uses 175 watts vs my 50 watt 150 cfm duct fan form home depot...just want to know if 400cfm is overkill or if i am just as better off using my 150cfm fan....also the big fan is loud as shit..

had the same issue with my fan and I got isolated ducting ( home depot 6" x 25' $25.00 ) and I wrapped the fan up with sum mattress topper. Huge difference. There are also posts where people have made boxes around the fan and also seen someone use dynmat ( the stuff for your car when you have subs ).
