Is there a way to grow indoors if can't be checked on for 6-7 days

I started smoking again after retirement and really really enjoyed it and found it very helpful for some medical issues I deal with. Problem is I have very sporadic sources for mediocre pot. I just don't have a reliable sources to buy and what I get is pretty lame. I go weeks to months without anything, fantasizing about moving to Colorado.

So I thought about a clandestine indoor grow for my personal use. Problem is I live in Alabama and I am terrified of the draconian Alabama cultivation laws. I have a cabin in the North Carolina mountains and NC laws would not send me to prison for a mandatory 2 years + and a $30,000 dollar fine, for a few plants. I have a small airplane so I could check on it weekly when I was not there . I have been reading about different methods but not certain what direction I should research or if it is even possible.

Would a drip irrigation system in dirt work.? A DWC system? Is there a way to grow indoors with it being on autopilot for 6-7 days at a time?

If you've got money to fly to NC you have money to get a damn nice grow tent with lights
You could do it easy and never leave the farm-wish I could get one of the tents!! I'm in the state

Drip systems can be left essentially until the res is dry. I am prepping for a 4 day leave. This is a cheap method. Take a 5 gal bucket with lid, and drill a bunch of 1 inch holes in the lid. Put your pot on top. Place a pump and airstone in the res. Recirculate on a timer. Raise your lights. You could leave for a while.

This is encouraging. I have done some drip irrigation systems for outdoor garden plants. I will start looking into this. Try to figure out size of emitters and how much and often to water.

Glad to hear. I use a ball valve before my emmiter nipples on my hose. ~ After my pump. And with that I control all tip flows the same right

The screw type emitters are good for seedling to 3 weeks is. 2-3 per pot. )Watering sticks)

But if you recirculate from a 5 gal oxygenated reservoir you could run a 24/7 drip system.

****Ok.. I read you want to run dirt/soil. I know nothing about that. But everything I said using a 50% coco/perlite mix at 6 ph and half strength nutes you could leave for as long as you feel safe... And the plant drinks.

Another option and Im actually thinking of doing is an auto in a mini hempy just because i want to leave it for a few days and not worry. Just for fun.


I dont want to waste all that vermiculite and perlite in a fulll 5 gal. Never grew hempy style. So a party cup hempy is a comin. Or similar. No. I know. Hmmmm. Now im thinking

I thought soil would be more forgiving but I don't know so will look at different growing mediums.

Had to read about Hempy. I think I understand but when you say auto what do you mean?

Autoflower. Flowers under a light cycle of 18/6 to 24/7 generally. lower genetics... Less control. Russian genetics. ... Non forgiving. Fun though. AKR is a good smoke.
