Is there a problem here during flower?

Quick question, this pineapple express auto is approx 2 or so weeks into flower. I have noticed the last week the leaves were drooping a little. I wondered if it had got used to the hot spell we had where it would drink up water, then after the last water it turned cooler so perhaps didn't drink as much and became a product of overwatering due to retaining moisture longer than it had been the previous few weeks.

I have since let it dry out and rewatered today (pH 6) with full strength grow nutes and 3/4 flower nutes from biobizz for its age.

The leaves are still a bit droopy and although lower have gone yellow I know that's common during this stage as these leaves are old. I was hesitant with nutrients so tapered up from the beginning so could have been a little low in nitrogen. But the leaves are also very thin. New growth is all nice and green just droopy.

Also I know the pot is small, but as I started in it and realised to late that it would not be sufficient I had to just let it be. I have bigger ones for my other two.

Any ideas?

Just to add it's still around 10" away from lights, both of which are LED and not giving off lots of heat at all.

I like to water my plants when they wake up

if you water before they go to sleep you can run into more problems

if I had to guess you may just have to really give it a good watering , maybe the soil isn’t getting moist enough
Also at the end of the day plants seem to droop. What light cycle are you running?

10” is too close for most LED lights. With LEDs being too close isn’t a problem with heat, it is a problem with intensity of the light. I think your issue is probably related more to watering and/or root issues but the lights being that close is just going to add to the issues.

I am with Charlie at all. When you see a plant which is in general healthy and the lower leaves starts to die massively than its usually some problem in the root zone. When you look at my profile foto “old grandpa” leaf you will see how it looks when the leaf dies by his age and this is not your case. Also the light even if you have cheapos loudbreakers you should keep the distance how its written in the papers if you have them. If you believe you do everthing right and have no clues I always advise look your runoff values to see what is happening down there. Than you will know more...

Where they are at now is not a time where i would expect the temperature to vary enough that it suddenly needs less water. I would instead guess you need to water more often and the hot spell ending did not suddenly change its watering needs. The pot is very small, not too small necessarily but small enough it likely needs water every day.

I am going to lift the lights up a little and then raise my smaller plants to compensate.

I will check the runoff pH next time, that's a very good idea as I hadn't even thought to check that!

Just a quick update, after a good water the leaves at the top have already lifted back and the bottom ones look as though they are coming back up also. Has only been a few hours so will check again in a little while and update with picture!

Oddly enough I was monitoring moisture in soil and even up until yesterday morning doing the knuckle test there was still moisture a few inches down!

Looking better. You may want to trim those dying leaves at bottom

Let me help again on this....

I am like you, a careful waterer. You can be like that in veg, when they are small, and they love you for it. In flower as the rootball get big it retains water and will show moisture even though it still can and should be watered. Not to say the fact that cannabis likes a wet dry cycle is invalid. Its just at a certain point -- like your spot -- the roots are filling the container and need to be watered more by watching and using some intuition to see it.

You are in a good place. Watering more is easy.

I will keep a closer eye on it, and would be great to get a few extra nute feeds in to help things along before harvest!
