Is there a best time to take clones??

im on my first grow..i got some clones from a friend and had a 2 seeds of my own growing..
the seeds are about a month and a half. one in soil one in DWC.
the clones are all in soil...
everything but the DWC has truly shown sex...
everyone is telling me its female because theres a section about 7 nodes up that shot out 2 beautiful white pistols...
but my question and point of this post is to ask..when is the best time to cut clones...george cervantes bible only tells me where to cut them and he still isnt very persistence about it can someone plz get me a good link/video or just break it down to me...pics help me im still really new and just want to keep and simple as can be and still be productive, plz help me out

You can cut clones as soon as the plant has some growth to give. If it is showing sex then it should have enough growth for at least one clone. You want to leave growth on the branch that you cut from to insure that it will produce for you again.

You can take the first clone if it's healthy and has 5 or more nodes all through vegging till just into flowering. It's best around the middle to the end of vegging because usually you'll have preflowers so you'll know the sex :) really any time after that first point in veg is good though.

You may have a different situation but I take mine after a short veg N right before I send them into flower. That way my clones will be ready to go into the flower room as soon as I harvest and so on.
I get my clones from the bottom of the plant which helps with the pruning I would do anyway. So for me its when they are all nice and healthy and ready to go to bud.
I steal their babies and lock them in a closet. That way they know I dont f-around and they better put out.
