is the qaulity of medication affected when using LED?

So I have been looking in to LED lights and I find mixed conflicting opinions on everything from bud quality, quantity, how they affect flowering times etc. What I would like to know is if anyone on here uses LED to grow their meds, did you notice a difference after switching from HID/CFL etc? I'm not so concerned with quantity as I am quality. This is gonna be my first real grow as I have decided to take my medical care I to my own hands after fucking around with the MMPR for the past few months. Here's what I'm thinking of using. If you see anywhere I could improve please feel free to let me know.

5x5 guerilla tent

6 pot constant feed hydro setup w/ 1 airstone in resevoir and another in the unused 6th pot for maximum oxygen mixed into the h20 and nutes

2x 220w solar flare LED
or
1x 440w solar storm w/ uvb boost

2x 4bulb 4' T5H0 hung vertically for some side lighting and to fill in the light spectrum

A couple fans to build strong stalks and circulate air

Inline vent fan w/ charcoal filter

Tri meter and a couple timers

Have you checked out the other sections of the forum? I go to the newbie section quite a bit. Folks are pretty helpful on here, you just have to be a little patient.

Yeah I did but I didn't get any response and tbh most people are talking strictly about yields not so much quality. If your selling it all you would care about is yield bug its all for me so thats not so important to me.

id probably reccomend more power than ur thinking in a 5x5
CLW makes a solid light ... id look into area 51/ apache tech/ hans panels instead tho and the LED section here on RIU is full of great info

ITs a little underpowered for a 5x5 tent, if you want to use the whole tent. But you could probably get that, with a couple of Hans Panels, or some other side lighting, to fill out to the edges of your tent, whether T5HO lighting, or smaller LED panels.

While I don't use California Light Works brand, I've heard its one of the better brands out there. I'd also look into Area51, there are a few other options from USA based companies. (if thats where you hail from).

Having grown both in HID and now LED, I'd say you lose a bit of quantity, but IMO gain in quality. I find (strain dependent, of course) produces more trichomes under LED, and the finishing flowers look nicer, smell nicer, and vape even nicer.

I like having better control over my temps with LED, and (hopefully) much longer life than HID lights. There is a bit of a learning curve to LED growing...but I think its a worthwhile venture, for me. And I've cut down on my power draw from HID, definitely. Any savings are good, no?

I don't think LEDs are worth the money personally. I have one that has been less impressive than my T5's for veg. It's supposedly a decent one. It would probably be better than the T5's for flower due to spectrum, but I have a hard time seeing it compete with my 600w HPS.
