i took a branch off my ssh and just finished drying and i noticed that the buds arent so dense and pretty light (But look good, definitely silver looking) because the calyxes are so small, especially when get near the tips of the bud. is this normal? the trichromes were about 1/2 amber with a few really dark ones. i had to kind of smash it together to make it look more dense...

no, they don't look like that normally. one of the following happened:

1. poor genetics
2. freak/runt plant (the retarded one)
3. conditions were too hot

Hmm, if anything, it would have to be #1

They were free seeds. The plant looks so damn good though. Ill just have to wait and see how the rest looks at the end.

#2 cant be, she is and was always very healthy and good looking. the buds look fine while growing

#3 None of my other plants get like that and its def not heat cuz i dont let it get to hot and an SSH should be able to tolerate hotter conditions i would think.

either way, it sucks. guess i cant expect much for free seeds :-?

Hum, my SSH looked a bit thicker than that. But I used a 600w HPS light, not sure what u used.

Maybe just a crappy seed :?

This is how my SSH looks:

I disagree with all 3. I would say you burned the roots. Try lightining up on the nutes.

Are you growing in soil? What was the dosage of your first bloom nute application? I've done this before in a dwc. My first bloom nuteing was a little hot for the plant. It caused root damage, that resulted in the problem your having.
