the stems do that sometimes, as for why I have no idea, but its never seeemed to effect any of my grows.
Well thats good to know but has similar looking stuff ever started showing up on your leaves at all. Get that plant out of there and into to quarantine, it needs to be excluded. Second step is eradication of the fungi you have newly developing on the stem. You will need to use some sort of fungicide. Dithiocabamates are a very widely used and useful group of fungicides which are effective against a number of plant pathogenic fungi. They include Zineb, Maneb, Ziram, Ferbam and Mezineb, Thiram and Metiram are also extremely effective against a number of important plant disease fungi.What do you think the white growth is on the stems in the picture? You can see it more clearly on the pic attached to post 18.
Here is a helpful piece of advice.. Get that Ballast off the floor NOW!Also I welcome any other comments you think may be helpful.
Spraying with wettable sulphur at the rate of 15g to 10 litres, or use dinocap and benomyl at 5g to 10 litres, Just don't apply it during hot weather or while you are under the lights. That should do itYou can not get rid of Powdery Mildew*
