Is slime bad to see in the bucket when using benfecial bacteria and microbes and stuff. I don't see any on the roots just building on the hoses a little and the bucket. Is what I'm seeing caused by the bacterias, fungis, microbes, enzymes, or nutes I use? Or is it root rot building..

slime in your rez is NEVER good. that whiteish grey crap on your hoses is the start of a bad month. single bucket dwc are the easiest to fail of all hydro methods... its harder to regulate the water temp. I would run clear rez or hydrogaurd

It's red and only showing on the hoses where they come out of the water I think it's from one of the additives I'm using cause the plants are doing good and my res temps stay at 68 through the heat of the day

Slime is NEVER a good thing. +1 on the Light Leak. Get it taken care of ASAP, if not sooner. Id change the water. Clean the Res, flush, and clean everything the water touched.

I don't use this method of growing, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But that's what Id do. I have been growing 45 years though.

Might want to cover those clear tubes on the top going into the bucket as well. I had some light leak issues from atop the net pot and also in through the clear tubes. I'll be getting some solid black tubes next grow. And I'm sure you thought of this, but be sure the electrical tape on top isn't right against the main stem of the plant. As the plant grows the stem will get much much wider and need to expand. I had slime building on the hoses as well in the beginning of the grow. As soon as I blocked the light leaks, everything was fine.

Sry there are lots of cures i just like hydrogaurd best. Clear rez is amazing also but it kills all microbes. Hydrogaurd is selective

I was turned on to this by others on this forum. It's Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, same as hydroguard, only not watered down, it's in concentrated form. Only a couple drops exceeds the strength of the full recommended dose in hydroguard. Much more economical. Read the reviews on the product page
