Is she ready for flushing yet?

Hi Guys,
Growing a diesel berry auto in coco, 40-50% of the pistils are now amber and receded.
Some of the side branches have probably 70% amber pistils.
All Trichs on the side branches are now cloudy and the buds look done and have stopped growing.
The main cola still has alot of white pistils but growth has now slowed down.
The bottom flowers still look undeveloped,

I desire max thc with less couch lock high, so dont want these buds that look ready to degrade too much.

I have read alot of information and cant get a clear answer as to whether pistil colour is even that important when trying to guess optimum harvest time if going with mostly cloudy trichs.

Here are some pics, im sure there are varied opinions, I am currently still feeding at half strength nutes with buddahs tree pk booster.

ALL HELP APPRECIATED!
Thanks.IMAG0832.jpgIMAG0836.jpgIMAG0835.jpgIMAG0830.jpgIMAG0829.jpgIMAG0828.jpgIMAG0826.jpgIMAG0823.jpg

Cheers dude, will probably think about giving a good flush of ph'd water within the next couple of days and just go for a 3 day flush as i'm struggling to wait any longer, looks and smells delicious! First grow aswell so didnt want to get too eager.

Pic 1 provides the best color, and it appears that plant has a few more weeks to go.
Why do you feel you must flush?
Dr. Jekyll

yes, mostly cloudy trichromes is ideal, we chop on first signs of amber assuming a good majority are cloudy, as there will always be some clear

Pic 1 is of the lower budsites, they probably account for 20% of the total bud.
Just alot of people say 2 week flush, others say a week max.
Just cant seem to fathom whether you cut nutes before the plant is finished so it uses its stores, or you cut nutes after the plant has fully matured and then flush.
So many people have different ways and want to get the max out of this plant. Just seems to be going for a long time compared to the time provided on the packet, also it is an auto so thought it would have been out of the tent by now.
Cheers!

what I meant was pic 1 has the proper lighting that portraits the true color of the plant
can you post a pic of the entire plant?
Dr. Jekyll

there is absolutely nothing that everyone in RIU would agree upon, you just need to determine what's best for your situation
anyhow, just saying that flushing is an optional practice to which we do not participate, because it's merely a myth that has no merit.

Lights are just about to go out so will get some quick with the flash. Hopefully youll be able to see whats going on a little better.
What medium are you growing in and what nutes are you using?
Do you taper down the strength near the end or anything? Or just cut at full strength?
Also did notice there was a fair percentage of people who dont bother at all. And in fact I did cut one plant that was rootbound early without any flushing and the smoke isnt too harsh at all.
Cheers mate, will put pics on in 5-10 mins

Unless you have a deficiency or over nutrient problem there is no need to flush. A bad/fast cure makes smoke harsh. Flushing has nothing to do with it.

Well I definitely did have an over nute problem but have reduced accordingly.
Can still see the crispy tips in these photos.
Glad theres not that much of an importance in a decent flush now, some people seem to think its the be all or end all of good weed.
Got some better ones with the lights off, here they are...

Don't count on time on a package to guess when your weed is done. Mother Nature can't read that package. What do the trichomes look like? I'm new too, on my first grow as well, and my first plant will probably be done in a few weeks. And mine looks farther along than yours. Be patient brother...you've put all this work in. Don't fuck it up now!

Instead of worrying when to harvest you should learn more about pruning, why we prune, redirecting the plants resources to increase bud size and eliminating excess popcorn. Your leaf to bud ratio is too high and ultimately you're going to end up with a lot of small, airy buds rather than dense, heavy nuggets. It's ok though, you have very nice, healthy looking plants and overall you did a great job.

Hi Danny cheers for the input. My other plant has been topped and trained a lot more than this one.

Did a little reading on the autos and got an impression that they shouldnt really be trained or pruned in any way to avoid stress in it's short life cycle.

Have done a little pruning of the bottom shoots on my other plant and it also makes a lot easier for watering!

Auto just means that the plant will begin flowering on its own. The flower stage is still roughly 8 weeks and in veg and ealy to mid flowering appreciates some thinning for best results. Your new pix are much better. Plus rep, nice job

Hehehehehe, to be frank, sometimes i flush sometimes i do not... I mostly do it to get different colored weed. It smokes the same and tastes the same otherwise, to me.
