Was I wrong though? I get you can grow good stuff with the base. But are people really out here winning Cups on just base nutes with ZERO additives? That’s a serious question. I’m trying to learn yall.

Most of the time, Canna Cups are bought...not "won". It has nothing to do with the nutrients used. Thats just a marketing claim they use to fleece the new growers.
Nutrients are 4th in terms of variables that determine a quality harvest. Genetics and environment play a much bigger role in the outcome.

I've given this answer previously but it bears repeating -

Any complete base nutrients will work. AN bases are fine if that's what you already have and they have similar ratios as others on the market but most of their supplements are redundant. The Bud Factor X was an effective product but the price was obscene. If you want to make something similar, I can give you a basic recipe to make a stock solution.

The thing to keep in mind when using additional supplements - there's really only a few that can benefit a grower and none of them are game changers.

- Fulvic and Humics - aid in nutrient uptake and overall health (Ful-Power is the best one I've found)
- Amino acids - assist in Ca uptake and help fight salt build up.
- Ascophyllum Nodosum (good kelp) provides lots of aminos, sugars, vitamins, and cytokines. (good for stressed plants)
- Chitosan - induces SAR
- Salicylic acid or monosilicic acid (Phytohormones) aids in pest and pathogen resistance, helps strengthen cells

Honest opinion - drop everything except your base, B52 and BudFactor X.
If you feel you benefit from the bennies, just get a bottle of Photosynthesis Plus. Voodoo, Tarantula, and Piranha are literally bottle water.

You have a Ca and K deficit. You also fed too much N during transition and have larfy bud as well. Tell me how you have such deficits with all those additives?

You have these deficits because you are feeding such a complex regimen you aren't understanding why you're adding what and you are in lockout.

Now if you wanna learn how to grow you start with the basics, pare down to your 2 part and wait to see the orange punctate rust spots then you add Ca. Most Ca additives also contain Mg. But it's important to know the ratio because mostly pot is a heavier Ca feeder than Mg. I prefer a 6:1 ratio. I'd like to try a 12:1 but not badly enough to purchase single nutrients and mix.

That being said sometimes your water will contain enough Ca so you will only see an Mg deficit in which case you can add some Epsom salt.

Once you start growing heavier budded weed you may consider adding some Silica because it hardens your trunks a bit more.

Now once you do all that. Then perfect your environment running the correct Temp, Humidity and light cycle you will find a couple keepers that you may start crossing. After that stabilize your line with back and line cross breeding.

Then you clone that out until you've perfected her growing environment and then enter your best 6 of her in a cup.

That is how you grow Cannabis Cup Winners.

Who cares about cups. Those are just a bunch of advertising festivals that generate revenue. Just because something won a cup at some festival doesn't mean it's some great unique creation. There are many hurdles that prevent many from even entering. The entire process is controlled by the same group of insiders. They even let you pay to be a judge. More revenue.

Lots of growers have better weed than so called cup winning stuff. I consider those awards no more credible than I do amazon reviews.

Those Cal def. seem common when people run Advanced with along with those additives. AN uses way too much K, IMO.
