Not that this thread isn't mildly annoying, irritating and probably should have been deleted years ago, but I have been going heavy on citrus teas in my no till, 40-60 gallon with a similar mix to the @mountainorganics blend and I have been having great health and growth not adjusting teas but I just noticed the teas have a super low ph, must be around 2-3 I would guess but again the plants are looking healthy as can be so hard to say its been a problem that needs addressing.
So I have decided to try and get the PH balanced, but even taking 1-2 gallons of 2.0 EC tea +3 gallons of water, adding about 50 mls Rhizotonic and 20-50 mls GH PH down (what I have left before switching to an organic source) the stupid PH drops are still reading red (4 or less), so its pretty amazing to me that even with all that it would still be so low in PH and kinda seems like a problem, but since I am not feeding teas every watering and I am changing teas randomly maybe its not a problem, but I would at least like to try and balance it if possible.
My thoughts are Rhizotonic, Lime and maybe silica for PH up plus whatever the Hydro stores will recommend which lately isnt very helpful. Also reading this thread I remembered how aerating would give the PH a nice swing in the past so I may start messing with that, but its been nice to give my pump a couple months break after years of constant use.
