Is my seedling dying?

It looks like it still has the inner part of the shell is still on there. You can spray it with water and play with it with a tooth pick. Or let it do its thing and leave it alone. Both moves are a little risky if that is really stuck on there.

Plant deeper next time. The shell shouldnt come above the soil when it sprouts. But it happens

Yeah it's got to be, right? Thanks mate. Thing is its so tiny right now that its only after looking at these zoomed in pics I can see. I just dropped a few more droplets of water on it as the light has came on, going to sleep and hopefully notice a change when i wake up, otherwise guess its surgery time with a tiny thread needle or something. You're right there dude, I'm using coco and only sowed like 5mm down, first mistake of many I'm sure!

The membrane inside the seed shell is still attached. Mist it with water to soften it and should come right off with a toothpick or tweezers.

:(

I pulled it up after the incident to check the roots. Started germinating 6 days ago.
Had it in a small glass jar with coco for the first 48 hours, extracted some moisture from the medium with a pipette 24h in, thinking it may be too wet. I then went on to carefully replant it in a yogurt cup with drainage. It sprouted 2 days ago. Watered til 10% run-off yesterday. Not the most ideal start...

U don't need to remove husk and it is best to let nature pop the hull as it makes a stronger plant
Definitely going to sow an extra 1-2cm down next time and not touch the shell. This seedling is 1 of 3, the other seed is just visible in soil line now and the other has sprouted and stretched 4" lol deploying 2nd set of tiny leafs
