Is my Purple Kush ready for harvest yet?

They are done 17th week. They finished 8th week of flower today. I see decent amount ambers and cloudy but still some white pistils and senescence looks like it's getting ready to start.

Possible to harvest half and let the rest ripen more for knockout sleep or couchlock. I do have pain and insomnia issues so not sure if better for milky or amber. I've read clear gives you speedy, milky gives cerebral and amber couchlock.

What ratios should I go for?

Thanks.

This is buds from the DWC Purple Kush.

Ok cool thanks. So I guess I should start using the Koolbloom Dry Ripening Formula
with my Maxibloom in the DWC to boost the ripening and make them fatter? It says to use the last 2 weeks before flush.
Not sure the target ppm I should aim for using the PK boost. I have been using the Maxibloom Lucas Formula.
PPMs have been around 1000-1100 last couple weeks.
Also I dont know how many days to flush them. Is it just 3 days or a whole week?

Thanks again.

Yeah the PPMs were around 800-900 in peak bloom. She seemed to be drinking more water and eating less because the ppm would go from 850 to 1200 and after adding back 1 gallon of tap water which is around 180ppm it'd go back close to 850. So I dont know if shes just not a heavy feeder or if its the waste she is putting back into the water.
I am also dealing with fungus gnats in the bucket too. Theres larvae in it and adults. I filled the bucket almost to the top to drown the adults while I put a large yellow sticky trap around the trunk on top of the hydroton so if the adults tried to escape they got stuck. It seemed to work as theres a bunch stuck to it now. But there is still larvae in the bucket. I saw them on the sides above the water line moving. Lots are floating in the water.
I read about Mosquito bits and dunks but are they really safe to use? It doesnt poison the flowers or effect your high?

I put like 5 big sticky traps in the tent. But I dont see that many in there. Only like 3 or 4 are stuck to them after 4 days. I let the soil dry out. They flew in the bucket while I was topping off and they got stuck in there and laid eggs in there.

Better full shot of her. Shes 44" tall.5500100_grow-journal-by-wallywonksilgmpurple-kush.jpg

Dunks/bits are nontoxic and are a godsend against gnats.
I did my weekly bucket change today. There was less in the water. I'll keep an eye on it this week. They only have a couple weeks anyways so its not really affecting them. They still look really good. Ill just disinfect the whole grow tent and all the equipment after this harvest. I want to set it up in my smaller room anyways.

I'm going to setup my next DWC buckets with this yellow sticky trap like this next grow20220411_151018.jpg

Hey man if you needed a natural thing to fight pest you can boil a bunch of oranges and orange pills and make like a water out of it and use it as spray and it kills bugs and it’s all natural just oranges you know, look up how to make it I’m sure someone has a tutorial, also dude I love purple kush it’s my number one favorite strain, and by the looks of it your growing it perfectly and for the harvest I would personally wait a little longer just to let some more trichomes turn amber more but that’s a personal preference for experience, other than that it looks outstanding definitely keep us posted on the dry weight and stuff

Oh and also most people at least in the cannabis industry go for a 70-30 percent of cloud to amber, no real way of testing the percentage it’s just an eye thing so anywhere from 70 cloudy and 30 amber to 65 cloudy and 35 amber I would say is a good percentage for harvest

Ime, I never really look at the trichs. I wait till all the pistils have browned, and receded. Then you know you're close.

I never heard of that, definitely a note I will write down
You'll see a lot of people on here saying the same. Imo, Ripeness can only occur when the buds are not growing anymore. When it stops throwing pistils out, it's done growing. Just got wait to ripen at that point.

Yeah man that’s true, I even hear some people cut branches and not the whole plant, like I know that can cause stress and stuff but I’ve seen one guy who took off certain branches cus the buds were more riped almost like fruit basically you know, this plant has so much to it, and so many different ways and styles people grow, it’s amazing
