IS MY PLANT FLOWERING?? Help! Urgent!

I lookd at my plant today and right at the top of the stem, next to my new leaves i found 4 little female pistils growing. But its only at the top of the stem, and n0where else on the stem. Does this mean my plant is flowering?? Or are they just preflowers? Please help people.

I have the same predicament except my plants are only like 8 inches tall and they both have what looks to be pistils on the top nowhere else? it was a outdoor veg for at least a month and I moved them in two days ago and they are under two 6500K "Daylight" CFL's. But my plants are so small yet they are a month and a half old? Could have it have been the growing conditions it got good sun most of the time and then some long cloudy days and rainy. Here's a pic of them the last picture on the right is of them when they where both in the same pot. but thats how tall they are Plymouth-20101005-00077.jpgPlymouth-20101005-00076.jpgIMG-20101001-00047.jpg

Bt how long from pre flowering does it take to grow into ful bloom?

My plant is actualy very large for its age its abowt 5 to 6 weeks old. And itz nearing 22inches. Itz been outdoor from a seedling. Try feeding your plants a high nitrogen soluble fertiliser. Some say it helps for stem growth. I found it very helpfull.

In an ideal situation it takes approximatly 6-8 weeks for a plant to finish budding from start to finish. The reason plants usually flower in late summer and fall is because the days get shorter and the nights get longer. We have artificailly shortened daylight hours by placing our hydro units in enclosed structures that the roof can be opened and closed every 12 hours. The first time I did this I took 4, 4x8 ft sheets of plywood and made a box four feet wide by 8 feet high. I made a cover and made a step so I could get up to open and close the lid I made out of plywood. I painted the interior white. I capped it with thin white plastic because I have chopper problems. Usually my dog heard them before I did so it gave me time to get the lid on. This first experiment was done with a dirt growing medium. and plastic bags, taped like rose bushes in case they had to be moved quikly.

Does pre flowers mean that the flowering period is startn? or wil the plant flower at a later stage?
Your flowering has started. Assuming you live in the northern hemisphere (usa, canada, europe, etc) the days will just keep getting shorter. That is what signals an outdoor plant to bud.
