is my plant changing colors? or is it burning from my light?

my plant is like 3 weeks old, and it just got a new set of leafs. the tips of the leafs look like a brownish/maybe purple color, so do the leafs do this? or is my light to hot?

we cant tell just by your words, you basically need a camera to get help man..
People can get macro shots of trichomes, its definatley not too small. And if its at the tips then who knows, could be nute burn or some sort of deficiency starting. We dont even know your light setup, temps, humidity, soils, nothing. fill us in

Id snip that one and try again. You need either MORE light, or to get your current light MUCH CLOSER.

That plant is probably too stretched to be worth growing, sorry bud.

I had it by the window for like a week (before i got a light) and that is when it got all Stretched out. then I got a light and it hasnt got any taller since then, so I thought it was fine. will it still be able to flower? or could I just add more dirt to it?

WHat kind of light? And I've heard of folks burying the plant's stem, up to the bottom set of leaves, and it will become part of the root system.You could give it a try.

the light is Daylight 6500K blub. I think i will at least try to bury the stem (its worth a shot) btw this is my first shot at growing. so im not to upset if it doesnt work out

yea dude, give it more light, but it will be fine! What I did was just bury it deeper, the stem will grow roots when its below ground... you can do this until 4 or 5 weeks old and I've had it work fine.

Just one light?I'd say, go ahead, bury the stem,and move that light in about 3 inches over the top.Give it more lights after about a week or so.I'm no expert, but this is pretty basic knowledge.When growing with cfls, expect it to take longer.As it grows, try to place more cfls all around it.You'll need a lot.Good luck.

ok thanks guys/girls, Ill do all that stuff and repost in 2-3 weeks

some people are so negative ive grown a few plants started on window and they grow to become quite good not as good as if there started straight under light but just give it some loving and time and it will be all good mate keep us posted

Woah... what about rot? I understand that packing soil too high around the stem causes stem rot when you transplant... I guess that's just for transplanting, maybe?

i had stem rot once from packing to high i think that was what it was from but i just tapped some rooting hormone on it and since then it has hardened and the plant is looking great

here is my plant today. it is still growing a lot each day, so i think it is healty.i need the stem to get thicker so i think im gonna get a small fan to put on it.

do u think it looks better?!?
