Is my plant a hermy? Is it dying? Is it ready for harvest?

Hello fellow members

I have four questions to ask.
1: I am concerned that my plant is a hermy. Is this the case or is it calxy's?
2: A lot of leaves are starting to dying from the bottom and up but no branches with buds on them. Only the big leaves.
3: Is my plant ready for harvest? It is only 7,5 week old though but the buds seem to be around 50/50 brown/white to me?
4: The leaves on top seems to have a lot of yellow/brown spots - is this normal?

It is important for me to stretch that I only have this 1 plant so I need to get the best smoke out of it. I hope people can help me with this matter.

Info about the plant:
Strain: Sativa autofem - dutch passion polar light 3
Age: 7,5 weeks (should have a life cyclus of 10-11 weeks? )
Light: CFL 1 x 135 w 5500k + 1 x 135 w 2700k
Pot size: 6 liter
Light a day: 20 hours
Nut: Standard flower nut - only been given 3 times in total.

And just a supplement. I cut off one of the thinks I suspect to be a male part and made a photo of the part. Have a look at this one as well please

I don't see any male parts. That looks like a calyx. The brown center looks odd, like it might have a seed in it? You should cut it open...

Plant looks pretty good. You might have overfed it at some point, that is why you have some dying leaves.

I would suggest moving the lights back, even non autos only get 18 hrs of light in vegg., and 12 in flower. they look a bit burnt on the tips from over feeding. At this point you should be only giving her flower/bloom nutes, no veg. nutes/nitrogen....
I would start your flush and you will see improvment untill she finishes up.
1 pic look like a nanner but just cut it off

It is 2 weeks ago it had any nuts.

I cut off two more of the, in my world, unknown parts and cut it open.
It indeed looks like there were 1 seed in each of them.

What do I do? I do want to get as much good smoke out of this plant as possible but this worries me.

kinda does look like it was pollinated somehow. check all around the plant for any little yellow banana looking things.

also, remove all the completely dead, yellow leaves from the bottom of the plant so it can breathe better.

I would know that tranny ass anywhere. How you doin? Class of 2008, lol.

Those are female calyxes, not pollen brachts, dude. Don't pick at em.

It's a seeded calyx (female part that in clusters make up the buds). The plant got pollinated roughly 4 weeks ago.

That is rather weird. I checked when it went into flowering and didn't find any male parts. So what do I do now? Can I still get any quality smoke out of it or is it all going for the trash can? If I look at the buds they seem rather fine or is it just me dreaming of a good end to a sad story? As I posted this is my only plant and it is an auto femi.

Should I harvest it now or is it too early (THC wise) or too late (pollinated wise)

Based on the pics it's the preflowers that got pollinated. Could be seeds inside the buds but looks good. Nothing you can change about it, I'd just ride it out. Just have to remove the seeds before smoking, for the rest it's the same.

Based on my pictures - how long time does it still need to have until harvest? The best lup I have is x 6.5 so I will have to go without that part.
I am really surprised that it already looks like this since it is only 7,5 weeks old and should have a life cyclus that is 10-11 weeks old. Some of the top branches just under my small scrog are already starting to turn yellow and will fall off within a week I would say. 7 big leaves has already turned yellow, died and fallen off. Starting from to bottom and moving up.

In the bottom - on the absolutly lowest branche that doesnt get any light, the hairs are white on the few and small bud sites there are there, but I guess they arent really worth much anyhow.

To the point - When is it harvest time? Are you able to tell me anything from those pictures? And it worries me a bit that so many leaves has died already.

The first picture is A perfect example of a late stage stressed female popping a male flower to self propagate.

@The Viking you're fine, don't worry about it. You'll end up with a few immature to almost ripe seeds, it's not like it will be LOADED with seeds. The bud will be NIIICE. Let it run it's full 10 weeks. I think 11 weeks might be a bit to long myself.

Just let it go as normal, as it's going as normal. the leaf drop is normal at the end stage.

IF you end up with any mature seeds out of that bud, plant them, they will be females.(Though, I wouldn't put 100% on any of them not being hermaphrodite.)

The yellow leaves with necrotic areas and the green leaves with necrotic spots is a tell tale of cal mag deficiency, which in many cases hits in flowering stage.

I guess I will just let it finish normal and see how things turn out.

Should I give it some nutrition now then? I know people say you should flush 2 weeks before you cut it down but I am finding it hard to tell how long time more I should let it grow. Are you able to tell me something from the pictures I have uploaded of the buds? And with 4 pairs of big leaves already dead, there is actually not many more big pair leaves left before it is only branches with leaves

Oh no, not another flush/no flush segment....

I do not wish to start a discussion about flushing/not flushing. I just want to know what to do with my plant now given the pictures and information I have provided

1. That looks a little suspect to me because there is no hair coming out of it. The one photo even looks like a sac that already burst...which would explain the seed if it is one. Buds looks good though.

2. Old leaves die. The dead and dying yellow and brown leaves that you see look like a late flower calcium/magnesium deficiency that I, personally, would not correct. But, a lot of the dead and dying growth in your photos would have been trimmed off about 6 weeks ago in my flower room

3. If it has been 7.5 weeks, then I would begin my flush and harvest in about a week to two weeks. To flush, I water twice as much as I normally would. I do this twice at the end of flower and try to time it so that the plant is dry from the second flush between week 8 and 9. Yours look like they could fill out for a couple weeks...perfect considering it is time for your flush.

4. All of the leaves around your buds that I can see look fine, but I do see some small brown spots on the fan leaves. If you do have a cal/mag deficiency late in flower (or a lockout causing a deficiency), you could be seeing the larger effects on the old leaves first and then seeing it spread. You will harvest before it becomes an issue. Honestly, I have a cheese with some horrid looking fan leaves right now, but I know exactly how tasty it will be in a jar. I also know that it looks 'normal' for the cheese and it looks 'ready to harvest' for the cheese. I also know that she hasn't had any food in two weeks, so of course she's deprived.


Nice grow! I like the grid! Get a good flush in and you'll have a clean burning product which, if cured correctly (check out 'a perfect cure every time') will be a tasty little treat based on the looks of things!

I agree with him here, just let it goe, and watch the trichs. if you can, the buds will swell and just "LOOK DONE" when its ready. but trich. watching is the best way to pick out your buzz. At 7.5 weeks on a 10 week strain, you only have 2 weeks left anyway. I would flush now and let her finish up slowly over a week or two on her own.

As for the seeds you are finding, if you can see them you have 2 options. cut them off or let them there. The fact they are there means the plant has already produced them and fed them, whats there will not make the quality of the buds any worse in high from this point on. The damage is done so to say, so keep the beans and plant them next year

All i can suggest is dont use those genetics again, put any seeds its related to or produced itself in the trash.
