Hello everyone..ive been testing my ph in my soil lately and i have been using a rapid test battery powered meter. Dont know if its really accurate of not..anyways my soil seems to be at the 6.9- 7.0 range..is that to akaline? Im growing in roots organics original..im growing in 20 gallon fabric pots outdoors..the plants for the most part seem to be doing ok..ill post pics..if my soil is too akaline can it be adjusted by feeding in a lower ph water nute mix or do i need to add something else to lower?. Any suggestions would be helpful..thanks.

Not a soil grower so don't know what your ph should be but those are sweet mate. Change nothing. you shouldn't have to ph anything with organics anyway. It's one of the points of doing it :)

Less is always best mate. If they go hungry they'll tell you buy going yellow.
If anything goes dark or the leaf tips burn or claw then do a light flush and back off by 50% soon as you see it.
If the leaves go weird n twisty. You get yellow tops from inside to out, or the mid section goes blotchy and pale then that's generally the signs of a ph issue. Often confused with iron def and cal/mag deficits.
Make sure your adding calmag with every watering though, or you will get them.

Thankfully i havent had any issue like that. Yeah i use cal mag every time. If i do over nute it.. to flush i would put enough water until i see run off?

Not sure to be honest mate. You'd need to clarify that one with a soil grower. There's probably an upper safe limit that I'm unaware of. I'm in coco so over watering isn't something we need to worry about.

Yeah I would start at 6.5 and see how they do. I'm not really experienced using coco with organic additives so not sure how much the microbes affect the ph.
