Is my one LED light going to be enough? (Pics)

First grow started a couple of weeks ago. I have 6 autos in a 4x4 tent with a 600w led. As they get bigger will the one 600w led be sufficient enough for the whole grow or should I get a second one? When this run is complete I will switch to photos instead of autos, since photos will get larger my same question applies, get a second light or will I be good to go with just the one? Is there a general rule to how many plants can be grown at once in a 4x4 tent under one light? Two lights? Any tips is much appreciated as I'm learning with my first time grow.

Which LED is that? If it's a Chinese knock-off, it is likely only drawing 60-80 Watts. No where near enough for a 4x4' space. In fact, I wouldn't deem it good enough for a single plant to be honest. If you got the lamp due to budget, that's understandable, and go with that for now. If you can afford it, either change up your lights entirely, or at least get more of the same one you've got and run them all simultaneously.

Now a 600W HPS in a 4x4' space you can successfully grow several plants at one time. Sometimes I'll flower out 16-20 plants at a time, and currently in my production flower tent, I'm doing four at a time. All depends on how long you leave them in veg really.

Its a vivosun. I bought the tent and light together as a package deal on amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNC7FHS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If I need to ill definitely get an additional one of the same kind or upgrade entirely to something different. Would like to stick with LED. I wouldn't have a problem with spending another 150ish on another light if its necessary.

So is my current vivosun 600w led garbage? Definitely not enough light for 6 autos in my 4x4 or can it work? I realize its not the best but if it can work for this first grow id like to stick with it if i can. If its not suitable for the size of my grow then I have no problem looking for something else. If I do need another light for the time being would a 2nd of the same light be enough to get me through this first grow or is the light just garbage in general? Like I said id like to just buy another of the same if i need to have more light but if its going to give me a shit yield regardless with this brand of light or just be a waste of money please lmk.

Get some good lights. Blurple lights ate old school.

I would recommend the cmh 315w as above... or if you can spend more get some good leds. Horticultural lighting group are top notch

I believe its 240w and will cover around 2x3ft at a guess.

With $150 budget you cant really fully light the whole space but you can supplement the light you have to almost light your space and get you through a couple of grows.

A good option on a budget right now would be two of these.
Use riu10 for 10% off at checkout.

Then get yourself a driver , a meanwell xlg 240-h-ab or xlg240-m-ab

You can get one of those from digikey , arrow ect, just google the xlg240-m-ab , it will give you around 240-280w and cost around $50

Then you want some aluminium L frame to mount it.

That might all sound complicated but its very simple and for slightly over your budget gets you a very efficient light which on its own will light 2x4 of your 4x4.

Its a far better lighting option, far more efficient , passively cooled and a totally better option.

For veg you can use your existing light and then add this to the mix when it comes to flowering.

I was trying to use one exactly like that, about 50w and only producing 2,000lux at the plant.
A total waste of my time and money.
Just purchased a HLG 240 with two Chinese knock-off quantum boards (total $150), and now have 2,000-47,000 lux at 24".
My plants (and me) couldn't be happier.

Note to OP
Get yourself a decent light.lights.jpg

You can get a 240W China board for about $150 delivered. That will cover half the space in flower or full in veg.

You will require at least 2...I have one in a 5x5 for veg only..plants LOVE the spectrum, but to flower a 4x4 def will need more than one. I plan on adding two x sp150's...one each side to accompany it. As these grow, more light is required. Flower requires A LOT of light for good finishing.
In my open room flower area, it is 70 inches wide x 48 inches deep. I have 2x Timber 3vl, 1 sp250 in the centre and two more sp150's..one each end.
Hope this helps.20200218_083213.jpgreceived_127727265327070.jpeg

What if i bought two of these HLG 100s? would two of these be enough for both flower and veg for my 4x4? https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/lamps/products/hlg-100

bullet, I sense a bit of confusion.
You're working with 16 sq. ft of canopy.
Trying to figure out how MUCH wattage you need for good flowering depends on how efficient the source is at converting watts of electricity into photons of PAR. Most current tech diodes can do that at approx. 30 watts/ sq ft, so your 4x4 will need at least 480 watts of GOOD diodes.

Oh yeah im a newb and confused. So lets take the hlg 100 for example. It says on the site the power is 95watts so 95x5 is 475. For that example would that mean id need 5 of those lights for my grow to be good? If thats the case i def might be in over my head with my tent size.
