is my light leak paranoia valid?

Hi folks,

I have a secret jardin L160 set up, which if you don't know has partitions for prop, flower and veg seperated by a large double sided Mylar wall.

Pretty disappointed in this product, there are large amounts of pinhole leaks around the seams and at certain angles through the zip. But the dividing wall that separates these areas is most disappointing, its practically impossible to get a nice flat seal with the velcro around the inside of the tent, which leads to small but noticeable areas where some light gets through.

This is worrisome as I am about to flip to flower, after delaying it for nearly 2 months because I haven't had the ability to control the light conditions until now.

The question I ask is am i being too paranoid about pinhole leaks and the small specks of light between veg and flower, or should I be double layering these with some decent tape or something?

I am very hesitant to go into flower until I have 100% control over light, am I just over thinking it?

Many thanks

I am particular about light leaks so I make bigger zipper flaps out of gorilla tape and cover any pinholes and seams where I can see light coming through.

And I use flexible black plastic duct bent into an upside down “U” with black washable filter replacement foam rubber banded over each end for passive intakes.

You probably already thought of this, but could you use reflective duct tape to put over the seams, and velcro edges?

To be fair I didn't even know reflective duct tape existed! i considered tape, but not reflective tape :bigjoint:
Understood. Yeah i buy it for my ducting. Might do the job for the purpose you need? Costs maybe 10 bucks for a roll.
Get the plastic, strong, stretchy type reflective tape too. Avoid the ol cheapo tin foil ones. They suck.
