It really depends on where you live.... if you live where it gets cold at night... then they will start to yellow ... unless you add a crap ton of nitrogen to them but then they just end up more leafy then bud.

Keep them green if you can. The struggle is hard.

Yes, this is what I thought. Try to keep all leaves green till the end because green leaves
continuously translocate nutrients to the buds thus creating bigger buds. Spent yellow leaves
are pretty much done and have nothing left to offer anymore. As we already knew, like Sevenleaves mentioned, it is natural
but maybe we can manipulate nature?

Not sure of the logic here. Unable to keep a plant healthy till the end, so you flush now, it doesnt matter?

I've seen pics or people with MASSIVE buds both indoor and out that had all the leaves fried to a crisp. I've seen green plants with tiny buds. I've also seen it just the opposite.
If you are looking for huge buds...a lot has to do with the way you grow it and the genetics.

Yellow leaves are fine but they shouldn't be burnt and necrotic either, your plant shouldn't look sad at harvest time.
Obviously overdoing N in late flower is not healthy either. Your focus should be on plant health.
