Is it worth to top side branches

Snapped the main stem accidentally the other day and lost the two main colas. So I was wondering if it’s at all beneficial or ‘worth it’ to top any of the side branches to make up for it? Would it be a positive gain in doing so?
 
You can top any branch you want to help fill up your canopy with colas, it's all about making the most of your light footprint.

Yes I get that it CAN be done. Just wondering more so if it really is gonna boost my yield or would it be the same in the end whether I topped sides or not. Might just experiment with it at this point.
