Is it worth to grow tomatoes?

There is this old guy 70 - 80 years, that my wife buys tomatoes (also chickens, eggs and other stuff) from. I cannot express with words how much better they taste compared to any store bought tomatoes. It is so good, that I'm thinking about putting a plant in a 4x4 tent and produce during winter.
The question is Is it worth it? How much yield to expect from such grow surface if I do it right?
I couldn't find much info on google. Do you guys have experience?

All veggies from a garden taste better imo
You could put an indeterminate plant in a 4x4 and produce alot of tomatoes but they are more vining and would require pruning and training. Determinants are bushy but they set all their fruit and ripen over a short time meaning it wouldn't be a perpetual type harvest

Store bought tomatoes suck. Although when in season you can get some good ones at higher end stores like Whole Paycheck.

If you like tomatoes and you have room then grow a plant. If it was me I'd grow something early like a Siletz. They are determinate but stay stout and bushy. Also determinates can yield over an extended period. They don't always all ripen at the same time but they do stop producing flowers. I've harvested off of Siletz for close to 2 months.

Maybe stagger some plants a month apart.

Im going to try the old guys seeds from the fruits I have because they are some old-school nonGMO sort . I hope they are indeterminate, because I prefer to harvest perpetually, at least that's what I think right now.
Now, I have never grown tomatoes outdoors. I would like to know if the yield is going to be good enough, meaning having 2-3 fruits every other day would be good enough. Idk like 2 ponds per week, is that realistic?
