is it too late to start another batch

so its july 21st, and out of the 8 plants i had started at the beginning of spring. only 2 turned out to be female. im wondering if its even worth it to start another batch this late in the season seeing as flowering will begin shortly... but i have heard from alot of friends that the plants can still give a decent yeild even without a good amount of veg.. really want to get some good helpful advice.. also does molasses really work as fert when flowering?

2 weeks ago,I'd tell you to go ahead and start, but now, I think you'd waste your time. personally, I'd wait till neaxt year or start them inside. I've heard ppl. using molasses, but I'm not taking chances, even with the 32 plants I got out now. I'm cautious, I guess.

yeah im in the same predicament but im thinkin itd be better to just hold off till next year.

the 1/4 - 0 that you would yield off those late plants this year is nothin compared to the full potential of a maryjane plant. id stick to the 2 females you already have and if you want you could throw out some more bagseed just for the hell of it

ive heard from plenty that molasses does a good job in helping the buds grow nice and dense and it gives them a slightly sweeter taste but i dont personally know from experience.

im bout to start sum tommorw or nesxt day but i live in a really hot place in california gunna be rly hot till novemeber-decmeber

thank you dankantornorcal. i live in the beautiful state of kansas. its gets pretty darn hot here as well, though it cools off pretty fast starting around the end of september.. i think im going to throw caution to the wind and go for it. ill start say another fifteen seeds with about an 80% germ rate then only approx 50% will be girls.. ill hope for atleast another six females that i can get some dank from.... after all a 1/4 an o is better than nothing. i used a cfl setup last time i grew and off of 5 plants got less than an ounce so fuck it lol imma go for it

yes thank you very much, all input is appreciated. yeah i decided that im going to start another 15 go dig some good size holes outside toss em in once they have some roots, then just let em be and see how they do. and for my two females.. hopefully they can go through flower without too many probs and give me a decent reward

In N.Cal, you are still receiving 14 hrs of sunlight so you will get a nice veg. Your yield won't be huge, but you will bud and you will harvest.

It helps to get a fast strain though.

im in pa and im starting 150 more today. mix of seeds from the attitude and a few from bagseed that was the shit. as far as the molasses goes i use it during the flowering phase. it will make the buds more dense and grow in size more but i do it for the taste. think it makes the bud taste better. just be sure that if you use it you mix it up good. it will attract pests like ants and i had 2 last year that got dug up by raccoons because the could smell the sweets.

im in n.e. K.S. but im pretty sure theres atleast 14 to 15 hours a day. i would choose an all indica strain and go to town. but where im at we dont have access to reliable seeds or clones.

bagseed is the only way ive grown so far, turned out pretty damn good considering it was grown under cfl... if i use molasses, how much should i mix in per gallon?? like 1-2 tblspoons? wow 150? sounds like your going to be busy lol

I was wondering the same question, if it was too late. I just planted some bagseed about a week ago. No big deal if it doesnt turn out, i just thought i would give it a try.

i live in OK. and i got 2 plants a indica and a sativa which is going to be ready first? i am guessing the sativa in late october to mid november and the indica in early september. am i anywhere close? and i have like 45 days befor plants in my area will show their sex. but do you think that is enough time to plant some plants just to get some popcorn buds on them. think that would work?

Just follow that link and find out when or if your location falls below 5 hours of daylight. That's pretty much the end game for outdoors as a minimum amount of light necessary for production. Then cross that day with your average temps for your location. Weed basically shuts down below 50 F, so you will need at least 5 hours of 50F+ to keep the plant producing.

ive got 16 that i started in late may,
just put 5 more clones out on sunday.
probly get an ounze of those late ones lol
