Is it too late to save this plant?

I got this plant from a friend of mine a couple weeks ago and was planning to give it to another friend of mine to clone. As it turns out the guy I gave it to apparently fed it a bunch of nutrients and this is how it looks now. I;m assuming it's not capable of being saved but the guy I got it from said it could just be in shock. Can anyone help me out here? Is it even worth trying to save? What should be done?

doubt it looks pretty rough, if those leaves are crispy to the touch then its done, if you want to try just flood it with plain water and wait n see what happens

try just watering and see if you see new growth after a few days, If no new growth it probably is fried.
