if you start your flush 2 weeks before they are done i know it will hurt your yield. but if you wait long enough into flower your probably right. wouldnt hurt. just depends on when you start your flush. I just dont see a need for a flush unles you have a build up

Exactly...last watering before chop is all that is needed. Flush em out really good then wait a few days.... and.... way way better smoke.... period

Again, read about Botany.
Just because your plants are in hydro does not mean they take up nutrients any different than in Soil or Coco.
If you have bad weed you need a better dry and cure mates.
This is not a debate. Simple Botany. Above there is a 41 year grower who know s what he is talking about.
The things I read here most times are just plain untrue.
Flushing is stupid and reason is because nutrients are converted into plant growth and energy.
Without that your finishing stage is well not complete. Leaves turn colors , etc.
Plants not just Cannabis but Plants in general need nutrients through they're whole life.
Quit spreading misinformation.
A Good dry and cure will bring out the terpine profile of the genetics you have.
Flushing has nothing to do with it.
Again for the final time. Read a Botany book.

I can't believe the word "flush" caused all this. I've been reading all these post while sitting in my botany class at school. Here's what I will do:
This grow is going to get plain water for the last water only.

For my next grow I will plant 10 seeds of the same strain. From there I will pick out the best lady, clone her, and grow six plants from there. I will flush one 2 weeks prior, one 10 days prior, one 7 days prior, one 3 days prior and two without a flush. I will commence tests on yield, flavor, aroma, and burn quality. We will have answers from there.

REALLY? do you think you're the first grower to grow a plant and think you are going to change the world? EVERYTHING has been tried and hundreds have claimed this and that. Only person you will prove it to is yourself. good luck if you even follow through to the end. I got money on NOT.

Did I say anything about being the first grower. Clearly I'm not, half of the posters have stated they have tried both. Since there doesn't seem to be a consensus I'm going to do it to get answers for myself. And thanks for the positive reinforcement.

Where does that say I was the first grower to do so? Do we have to take things so literal all the time? I said we because I like to include those who are interested in seeing my results.

I think youll find that there isnt much difference between the control groups. Maybe betwee the 2 week group and the 3 day group you might detect a slight diff but you will certainly find a huge diff between them all and the non flush group. When i did this experiment i did 10 days, 4 days and no flush...

You explained a pseudoscience with no actual links to support your opinion.
Hahahahahahahah.... wtf!!??? No science needed. It is experience. Mine. As well as a number of others i grow with.

You trying to split hairs. You read a couple article and you think your an expert. Or maybe you even have a degree... who the fuck cares...

You dont need to understand the science to discern a difference between one and the other. Just try it ....because obviously you havent. Two plants of the same strain is all you need. Flush one out 4 or 5 days before you chop. Dont bother with the other...

See what happens...

Sir we have seen millions of results ,,,, to think that your going to rid the plant of its nutrients that makes up the plant one should understand soils N is the easiest to leach out of soils but with that said N is most crucial element needed for all process of plant functions
so in contrast to nitrate leaching from flushing what about the other nutrients ??? sulfates and phosphates ?? are im mobile there for leaching is negligible see what i am getting at here ???? you wanna become a good grower throw the flushing idea down the toilet , learn when to start lowering nutrients late in flower so you end up 450 - 600ppm and all will be good
Flushing is uses as a last resort when you screwed up and massive salt build up is evident
to combat this if growing in same medium as you did in veg one good flush prior to entering flower will help from major ph swings and nutrient lock outs and what most growers encounter 3 -4 th week of flower
Remember once in flower its extremely important to keep plant healthy as long as you can cause there is no turning around once plant fucks up in flower your fucked end of story
