Is it time that we as a people come up with a name to call ourselves…but what?

I was drunk when I read this thread and thought the OP was asking what the most offensive name for pot smokers was and I put burnout.

After re-reading this morning I'd like to switch my answer to stoner.
 
Thats the great thing about being a burnout, we dont give a shit what anyone one else thinks. I dont live my life for anyone elses approval. I couldnt care less what they think. their opinion is of no concern to me. I answer to only one entity in this universe, and so far, nothing has appeared before me to prove it exists. until then, ill keep an open mind....
 
next thing you know it will be wanting to add your faith before stoner(jewstoner, christstoner).i cant stand be assumed a stoner or pot head or anything else. i am a gardener and an arborist this label of i smoke pot is just dumb. the boozers dont call them selves anything else.
 
Why should there be a name? It seems to me names are only used based on the addictive nature and say the nature of the item. I smoke weed, I don't call myself any of the above really. As an example, people who smoke cigarettes get called smokers, even if its just a couple a day, but should someone drink a couple of beers a day, they don't go by any title. We don't call them drinkers or alcoholics etc. Why should we have a label for enjoying s couple of joints a day. I like q couple of joints a day, that is the end of it.

Society will label us regardless of what we call ourselves, but my choice of moniker would be stoner.....my grandfather loved to say, "don't be a mental midget"
 
after careful consideration, and much pondering.. burnout has won, with pothead taking second... stoner, no matter how much i like it, only makes me think of Eugene....
