Is it possible to "time" seed-grown plants and clones in one tent?

Hi again.

I've got my tent completely set up and ready to go and I am very excited to get growing….

I live in Seattle and I am able to buy a variety of clones…The only drawback is that they are sometimes expensive! So, my plan was to crack a bunch of old bag seed that I had been saving for a long time and go that route.

Then just a couple days ago, I met a guy who grows who said he would get me some GREAT clones in about a month from now.

Which brings me to the title question….

Would it be possible to germinate some seeds, now, and get them in the dirt and growing, so that, in a month from now, when I get the clones from my new friend, the seedlings will have grown to somewhere close to the same size as the clones?…so that when everything needs to change the light cycle, they will all be ready at the same time?

Does that make sense?

I think you're wanting your plants to all be the same height basically. The genetics of the plants will have some role in this. Sativas tend to grow taller.

I would say that you will not be able to do this. Just put the shorter plants on top of something. I have 6 smaller plants in my tent now that i started from seed 5 weeks ago. They are right next to some plants that are almost ready to harvest. I took some smaller pots I have, turned them upside and set the smaller plants on them so they would be roughly the same height.

in the end dont sweat it too much. unless some of the plants are more than a foot taller than the others I wouldn't worry too much about it.
