Is it possible to start flowering now?

Ok. So I have a 4 week old, 8 inch and bushy plant and I want to know if I can start flowering. I have it under some 120 watt led lights for 18 hours on and 6 off. Basically I realize i should leave it to vegetate a bit longer but I'm desperate for a smoke. I don't care too much about the yield. If it's over a few grams I'd be happy as I have plenty more seeds and seelings. What do you guys think? Thanks for the advice in advance!

i think you have a lot of learning to do.
just because you flip the switch to 12.12 dosent mean that tomorrow you will have bud to smoke. It will take at lease 7 weeks to get smokeable bud. and you really need to care about yield. especially if you intend to grow your own.

still expect 2-2.5 months of 12/12 to reach smoke time, you can switch now as tellno1 said, the longer you veg the larger the plant gets, simple as that. Just keep your watering and feeding to a minimum and if you run into any questions feel free to drop us a question and take some pictures if you start having any problems :)

Your right. It's my first plant. Thanks for the advice. When you say 7 weeks do you mean 7 more weeks from now or 3 more becuase it is already 4 weeks old?

no it'll be a LOT more than that, it won't start flowering for weeks after you switch to 12/12 then it will take at least 7 weeks to finish.

I clipped and my plant went Hermi. I don't rob any more and I cure my results with care. I have some that is 6 months old and that is good smoke.
PATIENCE is a HUGE part of growing something that separates u from the rest.
"finish" means to harvest when ripe, then dry and cure. Read a lot. It will pay off.

you won't have good mature bud until finish which will be at least 7 weeks from the light switching to 12/12 or whatever light /flowering pattern you use. could be longer depending on which strain you have. good luck

I flower at about 17 days from sprout because I don't want plants too tall. I then run 12/12 for at least 9 more weeks and then start checking trichs with a microscope. I figure 13 weeks from seed to harvest. I think WAY more growers harvest too early than too late. It's hard to harvest too late. I think growers are losing 10-20% of weight yield and significant potency by harvesting too early.
