Is it possible to go all the way with just 2 48 in fluros

i have a 4 foot setup with 2 cool whites in it right now im not using this im using cfls at the moment. the bulbs are t12 and wanted to know if i could replace the cfls with the fluro if i got some different fluro tubes at walamart. when i looked it up its just peoples opinoin on it and how they switched i just want to know if you could veg and flower with just the 2 4ft tubes along with a 18 in ge plant and aquarium light fluro and a lights of america under cabinet grow light (7800k) $10 bucks at walmart those are the side lighting right now and would be if i used the fluros.. anybody elaborate please?

t12s suck stick with cfl

i know the t12s suck but i read cfls produce light fluffy buds but yours looks bitchin man i have to make some sort of box/closet for 4 plants with zero light leak. how many plants right there looks like 4?

90% of what you read on these forums is hyperbole. You can grow some great stuff with CFLs and dare I say Miracle Grow.

and ya t12's suck!

yeah i havent compared them to the cfls i got them for free and thought if i could use different bulbs in them then the cool white like daylight or something brighter that would beat a bunch of bulbs hanging around

like instead of the 5 cfls i have on right now wouldnt be easier to have 2 4ft fluros with different bulbs then the t12s or should i continue my venture on cfls

the thing about a bunch of cfls hanging around is that you'll get better light to the bottoms and sides. A t12 won't penetrate very far once it's got some bush goin.

T12's suck dude!n and I mean those workshop lights pretty much suck period. They will make your plant all stretchy if you dont keep them super close, and its easier to keep a cfl bulb close to your plant than a whole workshop light. Plus you can move the bulbs around independently rather than moving the whole light away from the plant. If you have one by all means go ahead and use it but you can get 68w cfls at home depot for less than $20 a few of these could grow at least a couple plants. I grew with 160w of cfl and my buds are actually pretty dense and chronic

i have 2 decent plants right now with 3 6500k 23 watt and then 2 2700k 13 watt then on one side a 18 in ge plant and aquarium bulb 3100k and 30 watts the other side i have a lights of america under cabinet grow light 7800k with 17 watts has anyone even used this lights of america has a weird purplish light to it supposed to help with veg and flower and have both red and blue spectrum but would this be enough lighting for say 4 plants

the 2 now are 3 weeks in veg and barely 6 in i just fimd one to see results

cfls work great just keep them as close as you can can see a lil burn in the pic with the cfl

thats whats up man im thinking about taking this dresser i have in the other room and turning it into a grow box would be nice size for about 4 plants just cant figure out how to keep everything looking like a dresser but still light proof and easily accesible

like rip the back off and just use hinges and make the back a door lol and then take the drawers and say everything off except the front cover

yeah mine is a dresser i use the back as the door i can fit a total of 3 in there i had 3 one was male tho but im glad i would have had to get rid of one anyway way to cramped

i would only use a dresser to stay incognito. the drawers on them though what did you do with them just take them out and cover the holes or cut them to look like drawers still

i busted all the inside out just left the front of the door and screwd it back on then put some cocking on the inside to seal it up
