Is it possible for a sprout to stay stunted 4 EVA!

I got me a little "special" sprout in my tent. About half an inch tall maybe. One set of leaves. dark green hasn't even budged in 5 days seriously no new growth or anything. My other sprouts are doing fantastic right now, but this little fella just doesn't want to do anything. Lights are close about 2 inches have 8 2' 6400k veg bulbs. Temps chilling from 75-85 during lights on. lights off at about 65-70. Except one time it got down to 60 for maybe 6 hours i'm not sure. could that serious spike in temp for that time cause it to be stunted 4 EVA! I'll post a pic when my bro gets back and i can use his camera. Just wondering what you guys may have experienced. Thanks ladies and gentlemen.:-P

pictures. Both are the exact same age. The healthy one is bubba kush 33 and the runt is a cinderella 99 or C99. Any thoughts?

It can happen, runts are not all that common, but they do occur. But then a number of times I have had a seedling lag way behind the others but by harvest time the slowpoke had turned into the best biggest most lush most productive plant of the crop.

Don't be quick to give up on it or assume it will not be of much value to you. It might never catch up to the rest, but then come harvest day it might the others look less impressive too.

that looks like a pretty big pot for that size of seeding, the roots may be growing as the pot is big the roots will grow then once there established then the plant will

I'm going to wait about a week and see what Happens. I'm glad to hear there is hope :).

Yeah didn't really think of that thank you :) means hopefully it's growing strong "elsewhere".

I Came up with an idea last night while reading around. I think the problem started with the PH in the rockwool being unstable as it tends to be more acidic. This caused both the sprouts to be very dark green and almost look stunted in growth. The bubba kush was much much stronger at first, so i think it recovered, but i think the runt is having a hard time recovering for another factor as well .The embryo leaves that came up on the stunted sprout seemed very weak, very dark green and now seem like they have no green to them what so ever and look almost worthless to the plant. I read that this is it's first way of establishing a food source, via photosynthesis; the little guy has been struggling trying to grow it's new leaves, recover from the ph imbalance, while at the same time, trying to grow roots. With out the those Embryo leaves I think it is just having a hard time gathering food from the lights. On the bright side i Do see the leaves turning a nicer shade of light green, which I'm hoping means more food for the plant to obtain.

P.S. I never give up on my babies :) maybe i can have a little pet sprout if it never grows.

Chopped the Embryo leaves off. See how it reacts. Not to worried about losing it, so might as well experiment :)
