Switch to a 20/4 schedule if you have been been on 24/0? Is there any benefit (besides using electric)

its ok man. you shoudlnt have givin em 24 hours of light . they need darkperiods to grow. they absorb light durin the day so they can convert it to growth durin the night
so go ahead and switch

I have grown under 24 hour of light and there is no benefits in doing so,I'm not sure how the electric company work over sea, but in the uk the electric is cheaper at night so it might be worth looking into. When i am getting clones for my next set 4 weeks before the end of the grow in flower, then i will leave them on 24 hour during winter this is because of the temps in our winter. But in summer i will be happy to leave them on 18/6.Once the plants have roots are in the growing stage, then i would not mess around with the lighting sced.even more so if the seeds are femanised and not 100% females,or they sometimes can throw you seed,I will go from 18/6 veg to 12/12off no other light changes to risky..................................tyke...........................................................

Theres various support for 24/0-18/6 and everything in between, all should work fine. However I think all would agree that you should keep it consistent however, and not fluctuate the cycles too much through the course of your vegging process.

i'm a big fan of some off time in veg as well.. i've tried 24 hours of light after reading jorge cerventes saying that a plant given 24 hours of light would grow 33% faster than a plant that only received 18 hours of light, but i didn't find this to be true, and in fact, it seemed ilke growth was some what slower under 24 hours of light ime..

in veg does anyone know anything about what happens if you run your main grow light(MH) on a 18/6 schedule and just a cfl on a 24/0 so when your big light shuts off you still have your smaller one on
