Is it ok to vegetate the mother plant???

The mother plant has been groing now for maybe two months, and it doesnt have anything qorth cloning. Do I need to vegetate it or anything???

wow..... real new to this huh? word to the wise... round here do some searching and reading before posting easily answered questions.... or usually u wont get responses! if you have been growing ur plant for 2 months that is the vegetative stage! i think ur really confused... and pics may help.. i cant imagine a 2 month old plant not having at least one place to take a clone from.....

Well not sure exactly what your facing here but will say the best mama in my arsenal was harvested of its buds and trimmed back fairly neatly after its last grow season...placed back into veg long enough to take 5 clones off of it..allowed to rock along in veg a bit more to put on some new growth and is now blooming again in its 2nd season. It is short...tight..and covered with buds as big as a person's thumb. Wished the rest of them looked as good as her. Not sure if this is the answer to your question but hopefully it's fairly close.
