If I re use holes that had plants in them last season will it screw my plants up?
Is it ok to use old spots?

If you put in fresh soil and the place is secure it will be fine.

o but you ccant reuse the soil. didnt think so all the nutrients are gone

you can plant in the old holes with the old soil,(i have been doing it for years)
just add some good organic fertilizer and some mulch and it is back where it started from

give it a good ole dig over loosen the soil add the organic fert(fish,manure,blood and bone) whatever takes your fancy.dig that in,and water with a little molasses in the mix.
the sugar will feed the microbes and get them started on doing what they do.
